The sweet smell of escape allured me. I had not eaten for what seemed like eons. The hard ground felt indifferent on my hooves. The click clack filled the night sky as I pushed through the alien-like entrance, but as I entered, the harbinger of the hunt shouted at me. I knew my time was short. I ran as fast as I could. I slammed horns first into the chairs of the hunters. I couldn't stop. As the fear and adrenaline pumped through my heart, I continued to push through the alien-like room. My only option was to slide over the obstacles like a slimy newborn fawn. As i hopped the first wooden challenge, the second met me with an arrogant pose. My legs flailing, I surfed the tables and crashed into the floor. I found another entrance and pursued my four legged dash to the woods of home. To this day, I try to forget the nightmares of that particular evening. Some nights I wake up screaming with a cold sweat on my brow. Some nights, I hear the thunder of the hunt. Nothing can make me run faster than the cold, indifferent feeling of knowing your a sport. A sport of life and death. Run, and you might live. Stay, and you'll end up like that poor fuck, Bambi's mom.

This is exactly how it was at the place where I used to work. People would literally run into the break room, grab a handful of donuts and run back to their desks.
