Honestly, let them do what they need to grieve. I know its bad thing to be delusional, but at this time, they need their religion to feel comforted by this. Its times like this that one needs to suck up their own feelings on religion and just let your family do what they NEED to do right now. Its not hurting you and it actually is benefiting them to think this way.

I understand and in no way am I being vocal about my frustration for those reasons. Though I admit I probably do some eye-rolling.

Interesting story though; my grandfather had a priest come up to her hospital room for last rights. The priest gave everyone communion and I have not yet come-out to parents as an atheist. I had communion for the first time in years. When he said, "The body of Christ," I just looked at him totally blank cus I totally forgot what to do. I just nodded my head and got a dirty look from everyone in the room.
