I don't know why, but the other rider named Viper was always my primary target. I didn't care if I got first or not, as long as I made Viper eat some road during the race. Dude was a dick.

Story time; When I was 5 or 6, I was racing my younger brother up the block, back to my house. I told him that the rules were like Road Rash, and pushing and hitting was allowed. I ended up pushing him into a bush, and a branch went through the bottom of his chin and up into his mouth. I STILL LOVED THIS GAME THOUGH

I spent so many hours playing this on Sega MegaDrive (Genesis in America). It was a game before it's time. Great graphics, awesome sound and the ability to smack other drivers off their ride! I'm not even a motorbike racing fan. This game was just awesome!

So many memories of going into the video store with my dad and picking out the same game. This game was like my past time when I was little, it was the ice to my cream, the cream to my ice.

I accidentally discovered a glitch in the game that would give you infinite money and/or unlocked the best motorcycles in the game. It was at the start menu, if you pressed the directional pad in a certain direction while selecting a certain menu option, it would unlock everything.

It was so awesome.

Oh man, you just reminded me what we did we were younger. Obviously this game was begging to be replicated in real life so we would ride down our street on our bicycles beating the shit out of each other with bike chains, bats, and whatever else we could find.

I had demo version with only 1 track and you start without a weapon so all I ever did was spend half the race trying to steal a chain and other half fucking up the other racers with it.

I remember hacking the code so we could get faster bikes and extra perks. Took me longer to hack the code than it would have to just progress normally but it was fun "beating" the system.

Ah, the days when EA was a byword for quality and not milking their franchises annually. This was one of the best EA games along with Dessert strike. When they showed the 3DO versions "screenshot" it looked like miracles were possible.

I loved this game as a kid and Road Rash 2, I just couldn't get into 3 and beyond that they just were not as good as 1 & 2 in my opinion. Also I love the music in both games, I would love to hear updated versions of the OST to this game with actual instruments.
