The fact that it's from a month ago makes it valid? I've seen reposts from 3 days ago or less. Don't pretend like there's any sort of waiting period.

reposts are not supposed to be every couple days. mods cannot possibly keep track of how often all pics are reposted in this subreddit. we try to keep reposts to about once every week or two. A good portion of the pics/vids in this sub are reposts, that is a fact. We mods try to keep the reposts at least a week apart from each other.

We pull the reposts that we see that are closer than that. Honestly, most pics look the same after a while. Can you really notice the difference of a close up cat pic, when the cat is the exact same color scheme and pose? I will notice the ones that stick out in my head, the other mods do the same thing. I will run many images through karma decay that I think I recognize and they prove (according to karma decay at least) to be originals and not reposts.

If you see a repost that is less than 3-5 days message us, let us know. We will look at the pic to see if we recognize it then we will run it through karma decay.
