Hey everyone, I made a picture outlining it so hopefully everyone who doesn't see how this illusion works can get a grasp on it:

It's photographed from an angle so that you can't tell it's another piece of wood (obviously). Missing one red line because it actually made it more confusing.

A tip to "get" it: You're actually looking at three pieces of wood, two on top and one on the bottom. Notice the direction of the screws.

Also a piece of one of the blocks has been cut on an angle.

Two blocks of wood side by side. The front of the first piece has been carved a little lower with a wood chip glued on top at a slant to emulate the front of the second piece.

To me, by following the grain of the top piece all the way to the end, it looks like a shorter block on top of a slightly longer block which protrudes from both ends. The top block has an interesting lighting effect on the far end making it pretend to be beside the bottom block.

That's what it looks like to me.

behold my ms paint skills. this is actually three pieces of wood connected together. the top left, top right, and bottom left. i edited out the top left and bottom left pieces. you will see the top right piece has a 45* cut at the front, and a shaved edge piece at the end. the thin shaved edge piece at the end is used so that the camera angle picture can be taken at such an angle, that it coves the lower left piece's side, so that it optically looks like illusions apart of that piece.

This should help anyone who can't work this out. The red piece is the top and the pink one is the bottom. The green piece is screwed to the side of the red one and cut at an angle towards the camera. If you look closely at the area where all three colours meet, you will see they don't quite line up.
