People seriously do this? This is a crime that should be punishable by death.

[–]hadorsuf[S] 9 points10 points ago

That and pouring your soda in a plastic bag and leave it open on the floor, so it's almost impossible to clean without spilling the soda...

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points ago

What. The. Fuck. ?.

[–]crimson1490 1 point2 points ago

The worst is when they leave a large cup full of pop upside down on the floor. Everytime it basically feels like this , trying not to spill the whole goddamn cup

[–]radraz26 -2 points-1 points ago

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

I thought being an RA at my uni was bad.

[–]GhostGoku 1 point2 points ago

I've been an RA and I've worked in a movie theatre. RA is to movie theatre employee as CEO is to drive through window worker. Also, have an upvote for being an RA.

[–]kikwi 7 points8 points ago

I work at a movie theater and yes they do. Sad thing is I've found worse.

Other lovely things I have found cleaning include Sour Patch kids stuck to the floor because whoever had them licked the sour sugar off and dropped them on the floor which caused them to be cemented to it, multiple cups full of tobacco spit, the occasional empty fifth of liquor or beer cans, sunflower seed husks, and a personal favorite, semen on the back of a seat in our IMAX theatre.

[–]raversecycle 6 points7 points ago

I feel you man, I worked at a theatre for three years, but still the most bizarre thing I have found in a theatre is a full zucchini

[–]kikwi 6 points7 points ago

That is bizarre... And I thought the entire pizza boxes were odd.

[–]jmier 9 points10 points ago

I found a used tampon. That was the day I knew I didn't like working there...

[–]kikwi 4 points5 points ago

Old man has a small wiener dog

assume it is a helper dog

go to clean theater after movie is done

see dog squat

NOOOOOOO

EDIT: On the plus side I had a sinus infection and couldn't smell anything. Also it was not in fact a helper dog.

[–]jmier 1 point2 points ago

As people were exiting the theater after the movie, a old lady just shit herself. Right then and there. It wasn't solid either. We had to replace the seat she was sitting in it was that bad.

[–]The_Cubone 1 point2 points ago

i work at a movie theater and ive seen this first hand. I walk into the most recent Twilight movie (about a month after it first came to our theater) so there's only 3 people. I stand there with my buddy, waiting for the girls to leave... and what do ya know. i see the girl with a large pop corn literally throw the quarter eating bag of pop corn all over the row she is in including the row in front and behind her. As she walks out i stare at her with a " Are you fucking kidding me face"

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points ago

Yes. I also will empty all the burger king and mcdonalds bags from my back-seat directly in the middle of a parking lot. Because fuck you.

[–]radraz26 0 points1 point ago

I downvoted initially, then saw your username.

[–]pardon_my_misogyny 7 points8 points ago

I just bring it home and have popcorn for breakfast the next day.

[–]Tommerd 3 points4 points ago

Or empties it in your neck.

[–]hadorsuf[S] 4 points5 points ago

I yet have to experience that... May that moment never come

[–]GomaN1717 4 points5 points ago

I get OP, but you see far worse as a theater employee.

Cleaning out kid's shows where $4.00 bags of candy are tossed about the floor and nachos with half-consumed puddles splattered all over the place is among the worst inconveniences to clean.

[–]BrandonSaintRandy 5 points6 points ago

TIL. Some people refer to their popcorn bag as a 'bin'.

[–]Drink_Deep 4 points5 points ago

At my theatre, the large is in a paperboard bucket, so he may not have a bag either.

[–]hadorsuf[S] 3 points4 points ago

All ours are buckets (forgot the proper name for them, so I just used what seemed reasonable - bin)

[–]fragulator 0 points1 point ago

Tub would be proper term. And now you know ;)

[–]AmorphisUniversm 1 point2 points ago

I'd like to guess OP is British, as it seems Brits like the word bin-- i.e. "wheely bin" for a trashcan with wheels on it.

Also, the "bin" part of this post was what made me laugh :3

[–]fiveironknight 5 points6 points ago

As a movie theater employee, this is annoying, but sometimes accidents happens. What cannot be ignored is when perfectly capable people leave their trash in their seats or on the floor instead of making the small effort to toss it into the one of the three trash cans we have at the exits.

[–]hadorsuf[S] 4 points5 points ago

I have actually experienced that some people ask me if they can borrow a broom so they can clean the few popcorns they dropped. That warms my heart - that's when I have nothing against cleaning it up.

[–]PattyCotty 0 points1 point ago

From experience, also as an employee, I can tell which spills are on purpose. I usually remember what the assholes that got shitty bought

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

I do this. I'll put it under the seat when I'm done and the shitty movie will make me forget about it. My bad.

[–]ChagSC 0 points1 point ago

Wow. Your memory is fucked dude.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I lied, I just don't care.

[–]wingnut1981 2 points3 points ago

I'm not sure if your comment and user name are an intentional pun on the song or just a fortuitous coincidence.

Upvote for you either way though.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Cheers!

[–]litkedeep 0 points1 point ago

This is worse.

[–]venefb -1 points0 points ago

Jimmy crack corn, but I don't care.

[–]foreheadbeard 2 points3 points ago

They really need to make a movie about the life of this dude

[–]NIGGER_SPIC_JEW 2 points3 points ago

For the price of a movie and popcorn they should clean shit out of my hairy asscrack

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I might have been guilty of this when I was 12. I know that I have been with different people that did this when we were youngsters. One time my friend did this and forget his jacket in the theater. Well he went back in to get it and it was in the middle of a huge amount of popcorn on the floor that he had thrown. He told me the guy that had to clean it up was there and he just gave him this super sad and disappointed look. I don't think my friend ever did that again.

When you are a kid often times you forget that people have to clean up the messes you make to impress your friends. I am going to go out of my way to make sure that my son knows not to do this shit.

[–]hadorsuf[S] 0 points1 point ago

The worst part isn't even the kids doing that - it's the 30, 40, hell even 50 year-old men and women who do it...

[–]Rydel6 1 point2 points ago

Oh the things I've found while cleaning theaters...

A dried condum stuck to the back of a chair - The Covenant

A drunk guy got up and peed on a curtain in the theater - Borat

A toilet stuffed with beer bottle and rum bottles - Borat

3 guys peeing on the counter into baskets of potpouri - Borat

A man passed out in his on blood in the bathroom - Borat

Tons of cell phones - All over

Money - All over

Several acts of falatio - Oddly enough, mostly children's movies

Dead guy - I believe he was in "In the Cut"

A large, warm cup of piss that was mistaken for Mountain Dew - Some Motorcross movie....

Tons of chewing tobacco cups - All over

A child's pair of pants - Open Season

An adult pair of Depends full of shit - Brother Bear

The worst was always the tobacco cups.

[–]thavi 1 point2 points ago

Next time you go to a movie, wait around and see the crew that comes in to clean up after everyone. It's ridiculous how much garbage and popcorn that is left behind. I don't care if that's what they're paid to do, unless you're explicitly told to make a mess at some establishment, be clean.

[–]redflag45 1 point2 points ago

This kind of shit drove me to quit my job at the movie theater.

Fucking unbearable. People act like goddamn children.

[–]360walkaway 1 point2 points ago

Do people really do this?

[–]EliteCowdung 0 points1 point ago

BUT THERE'S A TRASHCAN RIGHT THERE!

[–]joshdeeeee 0 points1 point ago

I work at a theatre and this makes me so mad! Not as bad as people who leave there gross chewing tobacco cups... or worse like vomit or something!

[–]tweak06 0 points1 point ago

I worked as a morning cleaner at a movie theater for two summers. 4AM-10AM. I've seen some horrendous shit that people do, but for some reason those people that would dump their popcorn all over the floor intentionally were the worst. I'd love to beat them savagely and make their family watch.

[–]knetzy 0 points1 point ago

as a movie theater employee, fuck everyone who does this.

[–]LunaCumberbitch 0 points1 point ago

I work in a cinema and every other customer seems to be this guy! Unless its an older persons film, the are very tidy. Kids just mess everything all over the place. Slushee+ popcorn = disgusting.

[–]ragincajun88 0 points1 point ago

This...Fuck this...I worked in a movie theatre through out high school and never went through a shift without a massive tub of popcorn that looked to be dumped on purpose..

[–]hadorsuf[S] -1 points0 points ago

I feel your pain, I'm in high school as well and kids' films are by far the worst

[–]Jyar 1 point2 points ago

As a former movie theater employee, your statement is truth.

[–]MyAK -2 points-1 points ago

I dont pour out the bag of popcorn, or intentionally drop pieces of candy. I do leave my garbage on the floor though. Same at sporting events and concerts.

Hey when I pay $12x2 and $15 for concessions I will leave them wherever I want. At a restaurant you dont finish your plate and go to the kitchen to clean up and throw away your garbage because YOU are the customer.

[–]hadorsuf[S] -1 points0 points ago

At a restaurant you don't take the leftovers from your plate and throw them on the floor. I have nothing against taking a bag, bucket og other large things, 'cause that takes a minute if there is some on each row.

[–]golden_nugget -5 points-4 points ago

I paid 12$ for it. i do what i want.

[–]rhino369 1 point2 points ago

I'm very anti-litering, but fuck that, 12 bucks for some popcorn and a drink. I won't purposely throw it on the floor, but I will leave it ride side up on the floor.

It creates jobs for kids. Spreading hte wealth.

[–]hadorsuf[S] -1 points0 points ago

Do you seriously pay 12 bucks for popcorn? Here the largest costs less than 6 and that is considered pretty expensive...

[–]jaksun93 1 point2 points ago

Where I live it is $10-12...
