As a born and raised Texan, I gesticulate the hell out of my hands. I've hit people, spilled drinks, knocked over unaware small children. Just keeping doing man. People like the entertainment and you'll be more memorable!

Attach a hula hoop to suspenders and wear at all times with a sign - "This person gesticulates emphatically, keep a wide berth.". The phrasing enough would keep people a little farther away.
