This is such a stupid argument. If you're keeping an animal in a fucking artificial terrarium that's undoubtedly a tiny fraction of a natural habitat, you lose the right to insist on "natural" behavior. Not to mention, in an enclosed space live feeder animals can seriously injure your pet. (Unless you're chucking mice into a tank of water, in which case nature is still a bullshit excuse).
It seems to me like most people that feed live do so because they find it entertaining. Frozen animals are safer, cheaper, and die humanely at the hands of professionals.

Screw the owner for feeding it a mouse. They will eat pieces of raw dead meat in captivity, such as steak. It's a turtle, not a snake, it doesn't need live bait (in fact most domesticated snakes will eat heated humanely killed mice).
