You could always be unemployed see how awesome that is

[–]IMasturbateToMyself 34 points35 points ago

As a college student, I am really scared of this happening to me :(

[–]MrConfucius 18 points19 points ago

As a soon to be college student, I'm wondering if it's even worth it going to college.

[–]SilentSquirrel 42 points43 points ago

College won't get you a job, but no college will get you even less of a job. At least it's cheap, right?

[–]Mcflexington 36 points37 points ago

No.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points ago

This guy gets it.

[–]the_whack_shack 3 points4 points ago

Being in the army for four years and a deployment wont get you a job either :/ If you dont have a degree your pretty much fucked

[–]The_Holy_Handgrenade 3 points4 points ago

At least you have your G.I. bill now. Not much of a concession, but it's better than wondering wtf you're going to do.

[–]brussels4breakfast 0 points1 point ago

Not necessarily.

[–]eternauta3k -1 points0 points ago

More like free!

[–]Splatactular 10 points11 points ago

It is worth while. It's not about what you know when you get out, but who you know.

[–]brussels4breakfast 0 points1 point ago

I think college students should make a career out of going to college. Sounds good to me!

[–]MrConfucius 0 points1 point ago

Well I have a lot of friends that I hope to keep in touch with when I start college. I'm a bit afraid that I might go for 6 years, and I'm not really getting sound advice on the topic. My dad's gone and my mom never went to college; so I'm up the creek without a paddle. Actually, while I remember, I might do a self ask post of good advice to know.

[–]thepulloutmethod 2 points3 points ago

Yikes, dude. I'm no expert on anything but I did successfully graduate college. If you have any questions PM me. I'll gladly help as much as I can.

That being said - GO TO COLLEGE. It's worth it. Not only is it an amazing social experience but you will grow up and learn a lot about yourself in the process. Also, all jokes aside, you won't have a snowball's chance of securing a good job without a college degree. A bachelor's is a fundamental requirement for most white collar jobs.

[–]oscar333 1 point2 points ago

Sound advice: you aren't doing it for anyone else other than yourself. Therefore you must follow what is best for you (Duh...Right! Actually most people fuck up and skip this step; you'd be surprised. Don't believe me, wait a year after you've started and I'm sure you'll find yourself surrounded by people like this).

Don't know what you specifically want yet? Pick something you feel most interested in, or what would open doors toward that type of niche. If you work towards what you are interested in, you will become so good at it that others will value the talents you have developed. What helps make shit real is finding established professionals in your field of choice and learning if you want what they have (e.g. their work hours, pay, peers, career achievements and goals, responsibilities, etc.). Get a mentor as soon as possible (they don't even have to know they are your mentor, just be inquisitive, 'shadow' them, and seek their advice on how to get to their position in the most opportune route).

Fuck around, just not too much; sometimes there may be ramifications that last longer than you can believe (e.g. I had to get a 3.8 in a Master's to makeup for my fuckups so I could get into my professional school of choice).

[–]MrConfucius 0 points1 point ago

I want to get my Master's in Psychology, and possibly social psych. I have an uncanny skill at it. But I've not come across anyone that is a clinical psychologist/psychiatrist. I really hope I don't screw up haha.

[–]oscar333 1 point2 points ago

It sounds like you already know what direction to go in, your coursework will allow you to meet many professionals that can put you in the right direction. Get a part-time job on campus as soon as possible (if none available, go off-campus), the job would be data input or some other ditch-digging shit so you can get exposure to the people who have the job you want (clinical psyc./research or hospital environ./etc.).

[–]MrConfucius 0 points1 point ago

If you have ANY idea of jobs off campus that would involve a psychological exposure of sorts, please let me know!

[–]oscar333 0 points1 point ago

Halfway houses (these places receive men/women that are in treatment, many of them previously homeless), anything associated with mental health (e.g. addiction services). No job is below you at this point, when I was in your position I found a job washing beakers disposing of radioactive material in a laboratory (no, I'm not joking; this was after my high school job of scrubbing up shit and vomit during my days of learning if veterinary medicine had interested me>it didn't, and the work as an assistant enabled me to see this firsthand).

[–]oscar333 0 points1 point ago

Go in person to these places, dress business casual (a pair of dockers and a polo shirt tucked in), clean shaven. Ask for the on site manager (look around online to determine what the best title is to ask for). At an in-person conversation you have one of two options: (1) ask for any lowly position, (2) ask to shadow someone doing the work you want to do years from now (hopefully they even have an influence making decisions on employment, they may be the one who puts in a good word for you, or hires you themselves after you've had an entire day to be polite, inquisitive, and seeming an overall great contribution to the site<<either way this will lead you to option 1 later, yet your chances go up, and you can use the shadow experience to *ahem* lie about previous experience>>>PM me if you get to this step, it's not honest, and should be avoided, yet sometimes it can really help).

[–]pinetreeforrest 1 point2 points ago

Just wanna brag here, today I was offered a full-time engineering internship with BMW who pays for all my housing needs on top of $16-19 an hour.

College alone won't get you a job but college and a little initiative certainly will.

[–]The_Holy_Handgrenade 1 point2 points ago

Not bad. Being BMW I would imagine they give you good medical/dental coverage as well as other nice benefits, right?

[–]pinetreeforrest 0 points1 point ago

Yeah. One of the things I liked best after touring their factory was how well they treated their employees. Oh and for full time associates there's this leasing program with new BMWs. That'd be nice.

[–]MrConfucius 1 point2 points ago

Good for you man! Out of curiosity, what college did you go to?

[–]pinetreeforrest 1 point2 points ago

North Carolina State University. Go Wolfpack!

[–]MrConfucius 0 points1 point ago

Unfortunately I have to start my college in a community college for money issues, but I hope I become happy through it, and transfer to a university too :D

[–]pinetreeforrest 1 point2 points ago

Ah well I started at the community college too. It was really a great thing, I goofed off more than I should have and I'm glad that gpa didn't follow me into the University. In my opinion community college is under rated.

[–]MrConfucius 0 points1 point ago

Hooo-boy I feel better. You think it's a strong social exposure as well?

[–]pinetreeforrest 0 points1 point ago

Eh, that's where universities do have a edge over local colleges. Every experience is different though and in your home town I'm sure there's enough of a social scene to keep you busy until you can transfer to the four year. There's just nothing like living on campus with thousands of people your same age.

[–]Smills29 1 point2 points ago

Wow, $16-$19 an hour? Where I live you would get more if you worked in McDonalds flipping burgers...

[–]pinetreeforrest 0 points1 point ago

Where's that? In rural South Carolina burger flipping isn't going to pay more than minimum wage, $7.25. They also don't pay for your apartment, power and all other utilities. For an internship in this area I've got it pretty good.

[–]Smills29 0 points1 point ago

Western Australia. It depends on how old you are though, you earn about $20-21 an hour in McDonalds here if you are over 21. You don't get the apartment perk though, so I would say you would be doing better overall.

[–]daylight 1 point2 points ago

Keep in mind, the true value of college is networking. It's all about the people you meet.

[–]brussels4breakfast 1 point2 points ago

I'm older than most of you and I'm going to give you my opinion of what you said. Going to college is worth it if what you are going for is going to get you hired. Of course, everyone knows there is no guarantee of anything.

Some people go to college and take courses for what they want to do after they graduate but that kind of thinking isn't always lucrative. I think young people thinking of going to college should do research and find out what kind of work is going to be out there after graduation.

I never went to college and ended up having three good careers, last one made me a lot of money. I'm not suggesting that no one should get an education but an education isn't always needed in the work place. Skills, talent and good work ethics will get you far.

[–]MrConfucius 0 points1 point ago

I think I'm a bit screwed on the work ethic.

Hence why I'm here.

[–]PumpValve -4 points-3 points ago

As a soon to be college student, I'm wondering if it's even worth it going to college.

DO NOT GO TO COLLEGE. do not spend your parents money of you don't even see the value in it. Seriously, they could use the cruises and the convertible instead of putting your sorry ass through a semester and a half of a liberal arts program just to have you drop out because, you know, society, man.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points ago

Some jobs cause so much mental anguish ad are so unpleasant that it's not much better than being unemployed.

[–]moderndayvigilante 1 point2 points ago

So, what's your favorite Blink song?

[–]thepastIdwell 7 points8 points ago

Adam's Song

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points ago

Dammit.

[–]niqqaplease 2 points3 points ago

Being unemployed is awesome for the first week and fun until your money runs out. So yeah, work is bullshit and being unemployed is generally 200% more awesome than being employed.

[–]buttking 1 point2 points ago

As a dude who has been pretty chronically unemployed over the past ~4 years. Both have their upsides and downsides.

[–]brussels4breakfast 0 points1 point ago

I would rather be unemployed than to work at a place I hate.

[–]SuperTurtle 1 point2 points ago

Then there's an easy way out of it

[–]brussels4breakfast 1 point2 points ago

Yes I know.

[–]NotVerySmarts -2 points-1 points ago

Hell is what you make it...work is the same. Stop selling phones at Radio Shack, or working shit IT jobs, and focus on what you love. The rewards will follow your passion.

[–]ergocogitosum 1 point2 points ago

People that go and say "do what you love" don't understand that people aren't in the financial situation to do that, they are so far in debt with families and people relying on them that they can't just hang around until something cool pops up. They gotta work crappy jobs just to live. To come in and say that them getting a job doing what they love makes their plight sound trivial. It's disrespectful.

[–]Bruc3w4yn3 10 points11 points ago

I work 7 days each week... Is never figure it out :-(

[–]ayeroxor 7 points8 points ago

I work 7 days each week... Is never figure it out :-(

Simultaneously funny and sad if you read it in a Russian accent.

[–]PrepareForLies 3 points4 points ago

I did...and it was.

The terrible thing about hell

Is that when you're there, you can't even tell

As you go through this life you love so

You could be there and not even know

But you say so what, I'm doing just fine

The irony is that it's all in your mind

And that is why hell is so vicious and cruel

You'll just go on, an oblivious fool

You'll just go on, an oblivious fool

[–]DeathBuffalo 5 points6 points ago

"Wait a minute... Am I dead?" "Yes slave, you have been here in hell for awhile now." "So that's why things got better."

[–]JoelQ 41 points42 points ago

"We hate our jobs, they're so difficult!" say people who are browsing reddit right now.

[–]islaydragons 14 points15 points ago*

I'm curious, do you currently have a difficult job you hate?

Edit: I'll just get to my point. If you do have a difficult job you hate, then I have no doubt you realize how frustrating and stressful your days can become. I'm also fairly certain you use the term "browsing reddit" in the context that people are spending a sizable portion of their time on reddit rather than working. Which isn't true at all. In my particular situation (as I would say is many other redditors' situation), reddit is no different than a coworker stepping outside for a cigarette. Do you bitch and moan at the coworker for needing ten minutes away from the desk? You shouldn't. But I don't smoke, so where's my outlet? You guessed it! Reddit. Throughout the day, I spend ten minutes here or there to take a break and let my mind rest a bit.

Anyone who believes most people who browse reddit at work are doing so hours on end is either jobless (i.e. no real world experience to base their opinion) or are just fucking ignorant.

[–]SlyFoxOfSeattle -3 points-2 points ago

"According to a new survey by America Online and Salary.com, the average worker admits to frittering away 2.09 hours per 8 hour workday, not including lunch and scheduled break time."

Surfing Internet (personal use) 44.7% of time wasted.

http://www.davidsonstaffing.com/articles/salary/wasted-time/

[–]islaydragons 10 points11 points ago

Haha, dude. Salary.com? Really?

America Online and Salary.com conducted in-depth research relating to time wasted at work among 10,044 respondents during May and June, 2005. Populations surveyed included AOL users, Salary.com Salary Wizard users and corporate human resource professionals. Respondents were asked to indicate how much time they wasted in an average workday, assuming a workweek consisting of five 8 hour days. Demographic information, including respondent geography, job category and gender was also collected in the study. Data was analyzed by Salary.com's team of Certified Compensation Professionals.

We use research on a daily basis in my industry (advertising), and I wouldn't reference this study if you paid me. Honestly, wtf is a Certified Compensation Professional? I'm willing to bet it didn't train them to analyze data.

[–]SlyFoxOfSeattle -1 points0 points ago

I couldn't find any studies on the subject other than that one. This government study doesn't approach the subject of wasted time at work.

There was another study showing much time wasted at work as well, but the study was done by salary.com.

As for your disbelief in the Certified Compensation Professional title:

I don't know about the regular employees of salary.com, but the VP and director have some credentials.

To become a Certified Compensation Professional you have to take 9 supposedly rigourous tests (multiple choice) and score above a 75% on each. Source.

[–]yesukai 19 points20 points ago

You only have about 4,000 weeks in your life. You spend the vast majority of each one of those at a place you can't distinguish from hell? You need to change something.

Stick with me on this. Spend your last paycheck getting to the gulf or Florida. Steal a boat and sail off into the Caribbean. They have water purifiers, you can fish off the boat, and you can hop country to country as you please. The only bills you would have are the occasional supplies you need to pick up, and there are any number of ways to make money in an environment like that. You could even be a pirate if you wanted to. A life of relaxation and self determination awaits you, all you have to do is have the strength to make it happen.

[–]Unidan 7 points8 points ago

Nothing can go wrong, either! Even if the plan derails, you're in an awesome new state penitentiary! Food, housing, even activity time is all rolled into one!

For free!

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

Sounds like Cartman's logic from the pirate episode of South Park

[–]ayeroxor 3 points4 points ago

You know, there's a hint of truth to this. Loving the no-comment downvotes, but hey, that's Reddit.

Lots of unhappy people need to encounter a life-changing experience to realize they're throwing away their lives. Sometimes we just need a thought...

[–]yesukai 2 points3 points ago

Hah. When I last checked, it was at like -10. Now it's at 18. I was surprised it got downvoted at first. It's got sticking it to the man, not sucking a corporations teat, and PIRATES all in one post. I thought it would be reddit gold.

[–]it_wasnt_me_ 3 points4 points ago

the question is, if he didnt realize it for a week, what will change that after a week?

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points ago

When he didn't get paid and realized he had actually become an intern forever?

[–]it_wasnt_me_ 2 points3 points ago

my intern hasnt been paid in forever, maybe she knows this is hell?

[–]CAINE36 3 points4 points ago

She knows.

[–]angrytroll123 2 points3 points ago

Weekend? Maybe he meant the work week?

[–]drf_ 15 points16 points ago

How many of you actually have jobs that you HATE?

Sure, i very much didn't like some of my first jobs either, but i was tought to expect exactly that, since that is how you normally figure out and move towards that job you may want.

I fucking love my job, i love going up in the morning and driving to it, i love doing it and it's pretty much the best thing i could think of doing during 8 hrs of my day. And i don't even do anything special, i configure and install internet connections for businesses (i work at an ISP) and i don't even earn as much money as i could working somewhere else. But i LOVE my job, i LOVE the company i work for, i LOVE the staff and my colleagues.

My colleagues are the ones that keep me being so happy about it, i laugh my ass of atleast five times every day thanks to my fellow employees and i wouldn't trade it for the world.

If you really hate what you do, please, instead of whining about it on the internet, try to change workplace (and in that way - colleagues) and see if you find some employer and/or people that will actually motivate you to WANT to get to work in the morning.

I - personally - fucking HATE to wake up to an alarm clock, and if i'm allowed i'll sleep 12hr in a row, but i (or my gf) pull my slow ass out of bed more or less every morning on time to get to work and i fucking love it. I hope to my very soul that you will find this place too in the very short future, and that means you will have to work to get there.

TL;DR: Life is shit, do shit, get shit, get reward, hopefully end up somewhere nice, profit.

[–]CaptainHowl 2 points3 points ago

You.. I like you. Thanks for this, I'm currently waiting to hear about an interview and I was getting a but nervous but reading this made me feel calmer, Cheers.

[–]drf_ 0 points1 point ago

Best of luck! I know you'll find your place soon enough, just don't give up. It's wonderful here. ;)

[–]f0xpuppy 0 points1 point ago

I've never understood this mindset myself. A couple of my friends work jobs they downright 'LOATHE', but they stick with it 'because it pays well.'

Fuck that. I'd rather be happy and make less money. In fact, i dragged myself through 3 years of minimum pay in order to kickstart a career.

I think Chris Rock said it best in a skit of jobs vs careers.

[–]drf_ 0 points1 point ago

Yeah i've turned down a couple of offers paying significantly more than i earn today simply because that money could never replace the feeling i have going to work today. If that ever changes i will most definitely consider changing places but 'til that day.. fuck no.

Glad you've found your thing!

[–]Jollyman21 16 points17 points ago

[–]silent_p 12 points13 points ago

No, you're a recard!

[–]newfag_tr0ll 0 points1 point ago

Speaking of recards, I give all my relatives erasable pens every year for Christmas so when the inevitable holiday cards come around I can just erase them and give them out again to other people next year.

[–]KeyboardChemistry 13 points14 points ago

Like the regular content of /r/funny is any better than e-cards. Get off your high horse.

[–]BetterThanOP 1 point2 points ago

Oh work... couldn't be more true.

[–]Zgenator 1 point2 points ago

Perhaps hell is eternity doing your most dreaded job

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

If you truly believe that being at your job is no different than burning and being ripped apart for an eternity in the fires of hell then maybe you should find a new job.

[–]lepizao 0 points1 point ago

unless... Reddit was blocked in Hell and you could only see 9GAG. Then it's hell.

[–]BangOnDis 0 points1 point ago

Psh. I would never realize.

[–]babychael 0 points1 point ago

He'll noticed when there's not bathrooms...nobody has an anus, vag or penis in hell...too much pleasure comes from those things...

[–]frogswithwings 0 points1 point ago

Looks like the guy from alien resurrection that the chest burster bursts out of at the end.

[–]AustinTreeLover 0 points1 point ago

I would notice immediately because all my friends would be there.

[–]KrazyEyezKilla 0 points1 point ago

My Sunday evening film has been Office Space for 5 years now.

[–]Steviebee123 0 points1 point ago

Hell is misused ampersands.

[–]heimdal77 0 points1 point ago

what if this is hell and part of it is you never realize it so you keep going along?

[–]ThereWillBeHugs 0 points1 point ago

I'd say that your employer has a serious morale problem that might need to be addressed.

[–]Reddittoomuch 1 point2 points ago

From experience, the employers don't care. Looking at this economy from their point of view, they have the pick of the litter. They can pay pennies for a master degree holder to answer phones all day and still have hundreds lined up in case the new employee gets uppity.

[–]TheBlackSpank 0 points1 point ago

So you're a firefighter/anal rape victim?

[–]narpas 0 points1 point ago

"They don't need to punish us in hell. They just let us keep doing what we're doing."

[–]HustlerThug 0 points1 point ago

So you're saying that sitting in an office doing redundant work is the same thing as getting viciously tortured by demons for eternity?

[–]Reddittoomuch 0 points1 point ago

Its the personal demons that are the real threat. Some people could probably handle actual fire and goblins, etc. It would give them something physical to blame. Because if you hate your job, you can only really blame yourself.

[–]Pr3fix 0 points1 point ago

I'm convinced every person on Reddit hates their job. Is there anyone out there who is remotely happy doing what they are doing..?

[–]DefinitelyRelephant 0 points1 point ago

If we liked our jobs, they wouldn't have to pay us.

[–]Pr3fix 0 points1 point ago

what happened to "if you're good at something never do it for free"? Did the Joker teach me wrong?!

[–]BornInTheCCCP 0 points1 point ago

Most of the time I love my job.

[–]Pr3fix 0 points1 point ago

what do you do if you don't mind me asking?

[–]BornInTheCCCP 0 points1 point ago

Programming and System Administration for a small company.

[–]spooc 0 points1 point ago

[–]hubnester 0 points1 point ago

Tell that to people who have to support a family.

[–]meaty_monster_meat 0 points1 point ago

Man, I had a dream that I died and went to hell, and hell was my office. Then I tried to sleep with my cousin.

That was a weird dream.

[–]Jebus_Christ 0 points1 point ago

Be grateful for what you have, for what you dread is what others may long for. Plus, hell is a very bad place, very very bad.

[–]simple-seb 0 points1 point ago

If I died, it would take my company a week to realize I wasn't at work anymore. [FIXED]

[–]Pixel_Hound -4 points-3 points ago

I believe the same applies for school...

[–]illstealurcandy 23 points24 points ago

No. No it doesn't.

Seriously, enjoy school. It's the last time you'll be free.

[–]not_a_wolf 5 points6 points ago

School in retrospect looks pretty good. I would LOVE to go back to school knowing what I know now but at the time it was hell.

[–]Mikey-2-Guns 18 points19 points ago

You fucking kidding me? After I get off work all I have to worry about is my dog and daily house chores, the rest of the day can be whatever I want to do.

[–]mashles 3 points4 points ago

Anyone that preferred school to work is in a job they hate, which means they didn't bother working hard in school, which is probably why they enjoyed it so much.

[–]AEqualsNotA 8 points9 points ago

I agree with the first clause of your sentence but then your logic falls off the face of a cliff.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

I had fun in school, had a solid GPA and I still ended up with a job I hate. One has nothing to do with the other.

[–]sprocktologist 1 point2 points ago

I have a fuck ton of fun at school and I have a 3.6. I just know how to manage my time.

[–]illstealurcandy 0 points1 point ago

Yeah? what'd you worry about after getting out of school? Homework?

[–]Mikey-2-Guns 2 points3 points ago

And it's one less thing I have to worry about. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have a beer in the shower, wank and not give a fuck about anything for the rest of the night...Except for the juicy fillet mignon I have to cook later. That's another thing, when you have a good job and no classes to scramble to you can eat whatever you want too. :D

[–]illstealurcandy 1 point2 points ago

Shit, I'm still at work. While kids are already out of school not giving a fuck about anything.

[–]Mikey-2-Guns 0 points1 point ago

Just get into the office earlier then.

[–]illstealurcandy 0 points1 point ago

That might work for what you do, but, for what I do leaving the office at the time you're scheduled to leave is usually questioned by the bosses.

[–]Mikey-2-Guns 0 points1 point ago

They question you for leaving on time? dafuq?

[–]illstealurcandy 0 points1 point ago

Sales, bro.

[–]TheLocoMofo -1 points0 points ago

Can't really "not give a fuck about anything" when I have homework in four subjects today, one of them being an entire practice test consisting of 75 multiple choice questions.

[–]illstealurcandy 3 points4 points ago

Dude, 75 multiple choice questions? Seriously? You're going to complain about answers already given to you?

[–]TheLocoMofo -1 points0 points ago

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying after school time is not as carefree as you think it may be. Plus, it's an AP test taken from 1994 for which students were given 90 minutes to complete. It's not so easy that the answers are "given to you," and it takes up a good portion of my afternoon.

This is a losing battle, man. Sadly you'll only realize it when you grow up. I WISH I had the same responsibilities I did when I was in high school. Back then it was wake up early, go to school with my best friends all day, play sports with those same best friends after school, come home, spend minimal amount of time on retardedly easy homework of which you'll never see the likes again in college or later, pick up my girlfriend and drive to some remote field and have sex in the back seat of my car, and figure out how to acquire booze for the weekend.

You won't be able to realize this now since you're currently IN high school, but the magnitude of the responsibilities and worries you're dealing with now are trivial in the grand scheme of things. You don't have to worry about a mortgage, putting food on the table, paying the medical bills without health insurance, paying off undergraduate/graduate school debt, or a myriad of other problems that people deal with for the rest of their lives.

I'm sorry for sounding so negative. You are young and you should not have to worry about any of these things. But don't try to tell strangers, who's situations you don't know anything about, that life in high school is difficult. Unless your life is one of extreme hardship, the inconvenience of high school is trivial.

Dude, I was an AP student. I did those practice tests. That's 20-30 minutes tops, maybe ten minutes per essay. Hardly a good portion of your afternoon, an afternoon which, by the way, I'm still at work.

Edit: Just curious, is it history? Might be bored enough to help you out.

In my opinion, try and fail things right now. I don't mean classes, I mean your interests and things like that. I read an interesting article the other day that said in school (HS &College) why would someone strive for a crazy GPA ( 4.0) when they could have achieved a 3.1 but experienced more of the world? After school, it is consider extra work for nothing. A 3.3 is no different than a 3.9 in the working world.

It made sense to me. Even full ride scholarships to college don't rely on just GPA. They want to see what else people offer, such as passions or interests or activities.

Just some food for thought as you do your 75 question AP test.

Homework, Papers, Projects, and Studying. While you have more free time in college you also always have something you should be doing. With many/most jobs once you are off work you do not have to consider anything about work and have free time without obligations.

Spoken like someone who is still in college.

Bills, bills, bills, and bills. And yes, you don't have to worry about work once you're off the clock in most industries, some do require you to do work at home. Add to that the fact that one spends more hours at work during the week rather than one who attending school. Besides, I personally did my homework at school.

The problem nowise that when people hate their jobs now, they try to run back to school for another degree or acronym.

1, school will never be the same as that first time and 2, they realize later the main problem is internal.

Well, having never had a job, I was just trying to apply the experience the I have. Sorry if I offended you (not really)

No worries, take it as sincere advice/a warning.

remembers me when I read on reddit:

If I had one more hour of life before I die, I would go to my class, so it would look like forever.

Something like this

Work is hell? Then quit. Nobody is forcing you to stay so fucking quit and stop being a whiney-ass bitch about it. Lots of people would love to have your job and would probably do it a lot better given your shitty attitude, you special fucking snowflake.
