I don't understand the inconsistencies. He has all the hearts and the silver arrows, but no mirror shield, fire shield, red or blue armor, nor the magic boomerang.

Yes, but in the actual game, the boomerang would then magically come right back. The gif is displaying what the game would be like if the boomerang followed real physics.

I have no idea either.

From what I can guess is that this is what Zelda would be like if the game obeyed physics and how it would suck since Link has to retrieve his boomerang and then loses it in the river.

Well, a boomerang is in reality not actually used to hit things with, they are used to scare or lure birds into flying in a certain direction so that you can catch them with nets.

The stick that is thrown in the OP here is instead a Kylie, a boomerang that does not return.
