it didnt hit me till panel 3 though, so i had to go back to panel 1 to understand it, and realized panel 2 suddenly made more sense... panel 4 was just the icing on the cake, and made the cross reference from between panels 2 and 3 matched up much better when you remember panel 1. panel 4 also has a really good clifhanger, and i really hope panel 2 gets explained better in the 2nd comic, but i think i get it after looking at panel 4 more and more. its like a neverending story when you try to dissect all 4 panels, and once you get it, it just makes it that much more EPIC... seriously, there needs to be a movie or something based on this...

Keller went on to become a world-famous speaker and author. She is remembered as an advocate for people with disabilities, amid numerous other causes. She was a suffragist, a pacifist, an opponent of Woodrow Wilson, a radical socialist and a birth control supporter. In 1915 she and George Kessler founded the Helen Keller International (HKI) organization. This organization is devoted to research in vision, health and nutrition. In 1920 she helped to found the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

If she can do all this, none of us have an iota of an excuse to not be constantly active in the pursuit of a better world for ourselves and others.

I can't upvote this enough. I try to act like I'm not deaf as much as possible (which is very easy thanks to my Cochlear implant!) but there are times when its painfully obvious (such as taking it off to sleep, so I can't hear anything while I'm asleep).
