  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

When I was 8 years old, back in the wild woods of Maine, my step-father found a dead bunny in the road on Easter and put a basket next to it. After rounding up all the sleepy-eyed kids that morning, he regretfully let us all know that Easter was forever more cancelled. The bunny had died.

This reminded me of that, with even more class.

Wrong. They take aspects of their host. That's why the first one was so humanoid, and walked upright, but the one in the third movie, had they made it, would have been more of a quadruped, since it would have come out of a dog. If they had made the movie, that is.

Negative, unless you discount everything past Aliens. We see a dog-like Xenomorph in Alien 3, a Xenomorph with a human-ish face in Alien Resurrection, and a Predator-Xenomorph aka Predalien in AVP:R.

Meaning that Xenomorphs do, very much, take on genetic characteristics of their host.

That is, unless you're of the mindset that "nothing after Aliens happened", ala Matrix.

Side note: I just watched the entire Alien quadrilogy again in preparation for Prometheus, so it's pretty fresh in my mind.

It is suggested somewhere that the aliens adapt to new surroundings by taking something fromt heir host - which is based on the idea that the host is adapted to the environment they use to breed at that moment.

Am not sure where it comes from, though. Has it something to do with the new aliens movie that will come out when again? You know, the prequel.

In german it would be normal, otherwise it would be pronounced 'cooooming'.

Another thing is that even in dutch it would have two letters 'm'. When you pronounce it you say 'com-ming'.

German and dutch and a whole lot of other languages have spelling that is more oriented towards how it is pronounced (but not always). And those languages have the rule: if it is pronounced the same it should be written the same (unless there is a very pressing historical reason), the rest you can gather from context. So there is 'Bank' (sofa) and 'Bank' (bank). Why make things more complicated?

Compare this with English and the 'their, there', 'which, wich', 'whether, wether, weather'. In my opinion this is unnecessarily complicated.

I think one of the 55 or so countries that has english at least one of their official languages should do the smart thing and just do away with that mess and the whole english writing internet will be grateful and claim to write the english from that country! Or maybe the whole internet should decide on that. We are probably with more people than there are native english speaking people anyway.
