              My grandfather built it for his daughters. He was an engineer. It used to have a fully operational lighting system in it too. It's pretty cool.

                I know what you mean. They definitely demand more attention than the average kitten. It seems like he has two modes: crazy playful and crazy cuddly(throwing-himself-at-you-cuddly), nothing in between. Also from the first day I got him (two weeks ago), he's been sleeping right next to me, and waking me up every 2 hours or so because he feels like it's time to play. Luckily that's improving now. He's awesome.

The rich in Austria put gold-leaf on their food, just as a "hey, look how rich we are - WE EAT GOLD" type thing. The commoners of the time (1500s, I believe) wanted to have something like the Scrooge McDucks of the time, and so they breaded their meat and fried it until it went golden coloured, and thus the schnitzel was born.
