Downvotes be damned, the first 95% or whatever of this comic is how capitalism is supposed to work, if a company over charges for a terrible product, you walk away and they go out of business. The last square is the problem with capitalism in America. The government keeps business that should have gone under, in the black.

But people only walk away if they can see the harm in front of them. If Calvin was throwing the used up lemons in the neighbor's yard, someone has to tell him to stop. Without regulation, Calvin has no incentive to be responsible. Especially if his friends run major PR and news organizations.
