That's not even the freakiest stuff I've seen. My parents ran a beauty supply store for 20 years or so. We used to go to industry shows like Bronner Bros hair shows and stuff because you can get really great discounts and make contacts. It's an convention hall full of WTF and the prep room is flammable from all the sprays and caustic chemicals. This was before cellphones and cellphone cameras or I would have a million WTF pictures to unleash.

As a point of reference, think fashion shows and all the outrageous outfits the designers themselves don't think will sell but they show because, it's fashion, bitch! Hair shows? Same thing. All the WTF crap that no one in their right mind would sport on their head are shown because, it's fashion, bitch!

I did a google image search for Bronner Bros hair show and that about covers it, except keep in mind these seem to be ones that were entered in the contest or show and had to follow some rules and regulations as to size and themes. I remember there were more outrageous ones wandering around the exhibit floors that weren't entered and were just ridiculous, like almost sexually explicit and at the minimum suggestive. Last I was there was about 15 years ago so I remember my shock and amusement much more than any concrete details.
