I find its a quick way to find out what someone is like by what their status is and their interest are and how often they air their drama on facebook .....makes it way easier to figure out who the real idiots are anyone with a speck of maturity keeps their relationship problems off facebook

If you don't like the people that you are facebook friends with, and what they post (or both), why don't you unfriend them? Or, if you need to stay "friends" for some social norm/reason, block them from your newsfeed. You can even block people from posting stuff to your wall. So why not do that, instead of whining?

This is why about a year ago I went and purged a bit over half of my "friends" list. Those who routinely displayed comments that made me question their intelligence didn't make the cut, nor did people I haven't seen in ten years and quite frankly didn't care what they're up to. (If this makes me a jerk then so be it.)

After doing this facebook was actually something worth checking again.

This is not smart. In many cases the friends you keep are a reflection of yourself. If I receive a friend request from a person I barely know or don't enjoy I simply ignore. I could care less if they are offended. My list of friends is small, but I enjoy them. Additionally should one go turn idiot with multiple offenses they are removed from my list.

Obviously I'm biased, but there does seem to be a gap between FB users and the non. Perhaps less aware individuals gravitate towards FB while those who read books for breakfeast repel from the site.

Perhaps the same could be said for the rich. People who become rich are out to make money and not do what may benefit the people while the intelligent people are becoming scientist where pay is not great.
