Those cats have a condition called myotonia congenita, and once you know what it is that is happening to the little guys it is actually really heart breaking to see. Even seemingly insignificant stimuli such as a light flashing at them or a sound can trigger it and they will experience what can essentially be described as a full body seizure because they can not properly regulate the firing of motor neurons. I am pretty sure that one of the little guys in that collection of gifs is from the first video of its kind to go viral featuring this disorder. The kittens in that video died right around one year old because of respiratory failure stemming from this.
