He won't know he is dead but he may know he is dying. What's the point of this argument?!

Thanks, I've always thought it was bullshit.

The same place you were before you were born, for like 15 billion years. They really flew by!!

Having been on both sides, I truly do feel great about death as an atheist. As a Christian, I was always sad that most of humanity would be burning in hell for all eternity. I'd gladly cease to exist and give up heaven if it means no one having to go there.

To live in fear or to live with daring?

Not a tough choice at all.

I made this image as a wallpaper. I felt the "I know I'll just rot in the ground." bit was unnecessary to get the point, and I was working with font size and space restrictions to get the aesthetic that I wanted. I don't know about your tastes, but I hate walls of text on my wallpaper. I was just trying to cut down on the quote's space as much as possible.

Jim Jeffries is a hilarious comedian! His podcast (Jim and Eddie TalkS hit) is also pretty good.

I often feel like many of my fellow atheists speak with too much certainty about what happens after you die. The fact is, no one really knows if you will ever exist again as a conscious entity after you die. I'm not saying that you will, but eternity is a long time to not exist as such... so who knows? Also, at some point you were not conscious, then you became conscious, so that can happen.

As an Atheist I have always hoped for a quick death. Whether or not I know it's coming. That way, in the final moment, everything will go black (as I close my eyes) and I will disappear. After the hectic chaos that this life brings, I think that oblivion will bring a welcome calm, even if only for a moment.
