What saved this guys life was the rider who hit hims quick reactions he was already way off the throttle and on the front brake to the point the central weight of the bike was above the front wheel hence the impact was only the weight of front wheel, calipers forks at a de-accelerating speed, crucialy is the fact the bike was slowing not accelerating and centre of gravity/mass went over not into him.
