Ain't that the truth!

Had my first panic attack ever in an exam the other day. So now I get this. My friends kept saying how they would have snapped out of it and continued.

I feel you. My fiancé tells me to just get over it. One does not simply "get over" a panic attack.

I started getting panic attacks in high school. Worst thing ever. I'm now 26 and have learned to deal with them better on my own.

I used to have really terrible social anxiety. I never had panic attacks, but there were things I simply was not able to do, and it would piss me off to no end when people (especially teachers) would treat my condition like it was just me being stubborn and that I was just choosing not to do certain things ಠ_ಠ

Thank you good sir! (Or not sir like me) I have been suffering panic attacks since I was 12, and have had to deal with my parents telling me to get over it too. Such a crappy feeling. I'm dealing better though, about to go face my fear of a crowded airport today. Luck?

Best of luck! (I am indeed a sir) Just try not to think about it, as I'm sure you know. I've had anxiety since I was 12 or so as well but the panic attacks are fairly recent and its almost a daily thing. It's so easy to not be the one who's panicking and say "hey, how about you just stop". Like it's that easy.
