Ive always felt the bad controls in this and pretty much every resident evil before 4 were intentional. It adds to the suspense and I've gotta say the best parts of the game are when you're screaming at the screen telling Regina/Jill/What-have-you to, "LEARN TO FUCKING TURN AROUND AND RUN YOU STUPID BITCH. OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, NO NO NO RUN FROM THE ZOMBIE DINOSAUR!!!!"

I played and completed this for the first time at the end of last year with the fan patch on, and I absolutely loved it. I hear it is indeed torturous to play the vanilla game.

Dino Crisis is the only game that effectively melds survival horror with a closed area infested with dinosaurs. The first game was a beautiful marriage of these two things. I never played the SNES game to be frank but I didn't hear too much about it when I was a Kid either.
