I'm going to stop you here. We're talking about Thanksgiving. Not Easter, Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if it's different in the UK, however I've never heard anyone make ANY reference to Thanksgiving being a religious holiday.

Now, your next argument is that following the traditions of the holiday is akin to stoning people. Let's break this down even further. All holidays are amalgamations of different cultures and belief systems, many of which aren't considered to be valid. You won't find many Christians who are interested in Saturnalia for example, however some of the customs are carried over.

The bottom line is that your points have no relevance because they make no sense in this aspect. You're simply trying to be angry and connect dots that don't exist.
