Did you hate that movie by any chance? Having a decent understanding of electronics, I couldn't stand it. Half the time all he needed to do was cut one wire, but instead he's frantically digging out detonators for a half hour.

I had a teacher who absolutely hated it and said it was probably one of the worst movies he had seen that year. He said it was like they completely refused to edit it and he couldn't understand why it was up for so many awards.

I don't know about the technical EOD related stuff, but the uniforms in that movie were atrocious. It's pretty clear they had no military adviser on set when they shot this.
