I think this gets reposted every week at least once, and yet STILL GETS UP VOTES! Either there are literally 100's of new redditors a day, or some redditors click about 5 links a day from one subreddit a day, and think to themselves,"that's enough for today, I don't wanna over do it." ಠ_ಠ

Don't feel bad. Not everyone has seen it, and I would expect that, but I would say if more than one person says it's a repost then don't up vote. You don't have to down vote, but the people that know it's a repost ought to down vote. So you know what to do the next time you see this then, don't you?

I disagree with TheDude-. Very little that you see on reddit is original content. If you like something and feel it deserves an upvote, by all means upvote it.

If you look at a large portion of the posts on the front page, you see thousands of upvotes and people in the comments screaming "REPOST" like they are going to save reddit from some evil plague. Where do you think those thousands of upvotes came from?

10 million plus people are members of reddit. It's a safe bet that the majority of them are not online all day every day. Reposts aren't "killing reddit." People who complain about the reposts are pretty fucking annoying though. That's what the little arrows are for.

That's a valid point. I guess I should have told foley to up vote, but it boggles my mind when i see the same shit on the front page or the same reposts. What I would like to see is more original content. I guess that's why anyone screams REPOST.

Just keep in mind that what you have seen a few times on the front page is there again for a reason. The people that put it back on the front page haven't seen it before. Reddit isn't yours or mine, it's "ours". We tend to call each other redditors and act like we are some great altruistic community, but reddit is nothing more than a public forum with smarter than average members.

It does get mildly annoying sometimes, and I have reflex downvoted a few reposts from time to time, but people who go into posts that people are obviously enjoying just to shout them down are worse than the reposts themselves, in my mind.
