NEVER touch the clowns.

Let the clowns touch YOU.

[–]BiohazardBunny 10 points11 points ago

Looks like this clown is rather.... (puts on sunglasses) Unorthodox...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

I appreciated what you did there...

[–]BiohazardBunny 1 point2 points ago

Thanks!

Oh, mein pa-pa, to me he was so wonderful
Oh, mein pa-pa, to me he was so good
No one could be, so gentle and so lovable
Oh, mein pa-pa, he always understood.

[–]ozpunk 3 points4 points ago

Hey yutz. Guns aren't toys; they're for family protection, hunting dangerous and delicious animals, and keeping the king of England out your face.

[–]kuba_10 1 point2 points ago

Isaac Krustelstein.

I was here to say this :D thank you!

[–]ruprup 5 points6 points ago

Source? This really just raises more questions.

[–]xhansel[S] 0 points1 point ago

"The fun that goes along with the celebration of Purim can't be overstated, The Associated Press reports."

Yeah it looks like tons of fun.

[–]cyco 6 points7 points ago

Dude, among non-Orthodox it's a blast. Like St Patrick's Day and Halloween put together. I happened to be in Tel Aviv one Purim when Israel was playing Ireland in soccer - that was a recipe for some serious debauchery.

[–]Story_Time 2 points3 points ago

Totally, I was in Jerusalem one Purim and I got smashed at a party full of random Israeli hippies. It was awesome.

[–]ApocalypseThen 5 points6 points ago*

It's the most fun most of the Haredim will see...

EDIT: Also, Hasidic Jews see it as their religious duty to get completely trashed on Purim, even if they don't enjoy it. I'm not even joking.

[–]citykidjunior 2 points3 points ago

It actually is. Its my favorite day of the year.

[–]Li5a 1 point2 points ago

Dude....It's jew halloween...why would it not be fun? The only bad memory I have of Purim is when everyone at shul punted me with candy...but I mean...you get to keep the candy in the end..

[–]Yserbius 0 points1 point ago

Second picture is of the afterparty. I can't imagine a fun afterparty that ends differently.

[–]xhansel[S] 0 points1 point ago

Ok, I stand corrected, apparently it IS tons of fun! I remember when I was a kid the Purim carnival at my synagogue was definitely the best Saturday school day of the year. So I'll just try to imagine that... but with copious drinking!

[–]ohohb 4 points5 points ago

that image describes exactly how I feel 90% of the time!

[–]Siesna 3 points4 points ago

Those hats...

.....They're magnificent.

[–]flangle1 8 points9 points ago

Ah. My new workplace wallpaper.

[–]Snolidsteak 2 points3 points ago

that clown must have been shvitzing

[–]gwiz665 2 points3 points ago

Oi Vey Krustelah.

[–]uvashare 2 points3 points ago

That is actually a visiting member of the Leytzan sect of Orthodox Judaism.

[–]Yserbius 2 points3 points ago

I see what you did there.

But few else probably did.

[–]stock_character 2 points3 points ago

[–]adamantiumrage 2 points3 points ago

Must've went to Steve Mahanahan's Child Clown Outlet...

[–]Heywood12 2 points3 points ago

It's a Purim costume; I find it weird that the kid is the only one dressed up.

[–]izwald 4 points5 points ago

still not the silliest looking person in the room

[–]general_relative 1 point2 points ago

[–]sarcastro74 1 point2 points ago

I think my little Jewish clown can beat up your little Jewish clown.

[–]krangles 1 point2 points ago

[–]golemmiprague 1 point2 points ago

My big armed Jewish fairy can beat up your Jewish clown.

[–]Revolutionary2012 1 point2 points ago

It's almost a piece of art. Anyone care to try and explain what the fuck is going on here?

[–]Shellhead70 1 point2 points ago

TRADITION! TRADITION TRADITION!

[–]distractthepaladin 1 point2 points ago

What gets me is all these intelligent guys spending so much time and effort mastering the intricacies of Hasidic laws and customs, when they could be doing essentially the same thing playing D&D but having way more fun.

[–]ExplosmChicken 0 points1 point ago

I think the picture was made in Antwerp. I saw it in the papers during one of their festivals.

[–]K16 0 points1 point ago

every single one have glasses :O

[–]golemmiprague 2 points3 points ago

They study Talmud from dusk till dawn and not doing much of physical activity, so their eyesight deteriorate. It's a common problem among the Ultra Orthodox

[–]K16 0 points1 point ago

TIL, thank you.

[–]downneck 0 points1 point ago

interesting. i always figured it was genetic since they rarely ever marry outside their community

[–]golemmiprague 0 points1 point ago

Could be also, but it is not only Hassidic groups, in any Yeshiva (religious school) most of the pupils will have glasses. They usually start studying at 7-8am and it continues until 9-12pm, depends on the students. And this is happening from age 14 until they get married around 20. And most of it is self studying from a book together with a partner. The frontal lesson is only 2 hours of the whole day.

[–]octoskull 0 points1 point ago

Are glasses mandatory?

[–]Estoye 0 points1 point ago

Stop. I've heard that one before.

[–]Sadlavalamp 0 points1 point ago

Upvoted for the beauty of the actual picture due to color contrast and body language.

[–]softsnow 0 points1 point ago

My hair can never stay that perfect.

[–]Mypenisblack 0 points1 point ago

This shit was on the front page like 3 days ago.

[–]Cleric7x9 0 points1 point ago

i love to imagine that they are all talking about who got the best deal on their glasses

[–]snarfHARD097 0 points1 point ago

The clown is the only one dressed for the occasion.

[–]Chloabelle 0 points1 point ago

[–]SippinOnaTallBoy 0 points1 point ago

It's like that one scene in Harry Potter except not really.

[–]distractthepaladin 0 points1 point ago

Note to self: next time Moshe says "costume party" be sure to ask if there's a theme.

[–]ENTP 0 points1 point ago

Purim!!

[–]justo56 0 points1 point ago

if not for reddit... u know?

[–]desmond234 0 points1 point ago

This reminds me of that really inappropriate joke...

"I'm going to be the next Hitler, I am going to kill Millions of Jews, and One clown!"

"Why the clown?"

"You see! No one ever gives a fuck about the Jews"

[–]vladekm 0 points1 point ago

ok. so all clowns wear funny headwear; most of them wear black...

[–]ricardoccg 0 points1 point ago

This is actually a production still from Christopher Nolan's live action Krusty movie "K-man Begins"

[–]ArMcK 0 points1 point ago

[–]komoik 0 points1 point ago

[–]buckygrad 0 points1 point ago

Even the comments on this repost are reposts.

[–]deadken -2 points-1 points ago

Can't tell any of the clowns apart.

[–]bl4ckb4dg3r5 0 points1 point ago

Better to describe them as Hasidic. They're not just Orthodox, they're Ultra Orthodox.

[–]ApocalypseThen 3 points4 points ago*

Actually, "ultra Orthodox" describes a number of Jewish traditions, several of which are not Hasidic. However, those particular ones are Hadisic, as can be seen by their funny hats.

[–]Yserbius 2 points3 points ago

Specifically, these are probably Modzitzer Chassidim judging by the fact that (1) the funny hats are spodiks and not the more common streimel, (2) their peyos are hanging down, unlike the spodik wearing Ger whose peyos tuck under the yarmulke and (3) the page says it's in Israel and Modzitz has a pretty big community there, so judging by the size it's got to be one of the bigger ones.

[–]xhansel[S] 2 points3 points ago

Can't tell if knowledgeable... or just making up words...

[–]madman1969 1 point2 points ago

Thanks for that, I was going to ask about the hats.

[–]bl4ckb4dg3r5 0 points1 point ago

Haredi.

[–]mallius62 0 points1 point ago

Jewish version of "where's Waldo"

[–]dreddpool 0 points1 point ago

Reminds me of the joke about killing 6 million jews & 1 clown...

[–]nuclearblaster 0 points1 point ago

Must be the Clown Annual Meeting.

[–]Llama_sex -1 points0 points ago

Just a repost.

[–]Tarhiel -3 points-2 points ago

Oooooold!

[–]xhansel[S] 5 points6 points ago

I don't know, he looks like he's only about 8 or 9 to me.

[–]Tarhiel -2 points-1 points ago

Thank you father. Now please fuck me like the faggot you are.

[–]saldek -1 points0 points ago

That clown knows what's coming.

[–]veracitymilk -2 points-1 points ago

Clown went to the wrong room, the child molestation seminar is the one full of priests.

[–]romerom -2 points-1 points ago

what would happen if you ran up in there and shouted "CHRIST IS THE MESSIAH!" ?

[–]WalrusKaput 0 points1 point ago

Shofar right up the ass

[–]dlblast -4 points-3 points ago

[–]zjn3 -1 points0 points ago

It's a briss and the clown is the entertainment for the inevitable after party. Looks pissed because he misheard the event as "bliss."

[–]TommyHate -1 points0 points ago

It's hard being the funniest guy in a room full of Jews.

[–]firestarter764 -1 points0 points ago

This is how I feel when I hang out with my Jewish friends.

[–]monodelab -1 points0 points ago

One word: showers.

[–]FrankHowitzer -3 points-2 points ago

Jokes on you, they are all clowns.

[–]Tarhiel 0 points1 point ago

Funniest joke. Cuz this fucking pic isnt even funny.
