I rarely browse pics at all. My likes and comments in pics probably represents 5% of my redditing. Feel free to comb through my history if you feel so inclined, the 5% is just a guestimate on my part.

You are fighting a losing battle my friend, one that I used to fight as well. What it boils down to is there are millions of unique redditors with millions of unique habbits and tastes. R/pics has 1.5 million subscribers and the highest rated pic on the front page of that subreddit now has 10k upvotes and 8k downvotes. If we round that up, 20k redditors actively voted on the post. Just for fun, lets double it and assume 20k people looked at it and didn't vote....heck why not just say 500,000 people saw that post. That still leaves 1 million people that have not.

If a particular topic was good and hits the front page of a popular subreddit you can rest assured that at some point it's going to be there again despite the herculean efforts of the minority. Quite frankly, this is a good thing. I had never seen the pic in this thread before and if people from another subreddit squashed it I would have never seen it at all.

Frankly, I don't care if you've seen it or not. I, on the other hand, have seen it twice before in 48 hours and it pisses me off. Apparently other people are also pissed because I'm getting some upboats. Along the same line of reasoning as you have used, you are fighting a losing battle. There will always be people pissed off at reposts, and we will express it because it doesn't take much energy to do so, plus it beats the hell out of doing the job we're actually getting paid to do.

Well, I'm sure it's said explicitly somewhere but I can't honestly remember where. But I'm thinking in movie 13 when Gogeta is formed, he's basically invincible against Janenba, takes a full on punch to the eye and doesn't flinch, and this is the guy who was royally fucking up Goku and Vegeta singlehandedly, whereas Vegeto could not overcome Majin Buu. I was always under the impression that fusion dance > potara earrings.

Actually, Vegeto completely beat the tar out of Majin Buu, AFTER Majin Buu had absorbed Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, and Gohan, gaining an immense amount of power and intelligence.
Actually, in that situation, Goku at SS3 was barely able to do much against that form of Buu, similar to how Goku at SS3 was barely able to do much against Janenba, and after both fusions, Gogeta and Vegeto were able to mop the floor with their foes. The difference being Vegeto allowed himself to be purposely swallowed so he could rescue his friends from within, whereas Gogeta had no reason to allow similar, and this easily finished Janenba.

I don't know about consensus, but that's my own interpretation, based on the information presented. They never outright stated a power difference between the two fusions.
Main differences though are: Earring fusion grants not only a combination of the fusee's physical characteristics, but also their clothing, whereas dance fusion puts the fusee into the Metamoran clothing.
Earring fusion is meant to be forever, whereas dance fusion has a maximum time of 30 minutes.
Entering into earring fusion in a transformed (super saiyan) state is stated to pose a risk of drastically reducing the lifespan of the fused person, whereas entering into dance fusion while transformed, or transforming after, shortens the duration of the fusion.

Both forms of fusion produce a warrior that is "greater than the sum of their parts" so to speak, but is also considerably cocky. The voice in both cases (this may vary by dub) is both original characters speaking in unison.

On the topic of fusions though, it's noted that, while Goten and Trunks can only each achieve the first level of super saiyan, Gotenks is able to achieve Super Saiyan 3 with relative ease. Therefore, if one takes Dragon Ball GT into consideration (although, a lot of GT was crap, and it's noncanon) - When Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta fuse, given the result has red hair and doesn't quite look like a super saiyan 4, it could be theorized that Gogeta at that point was a higher level, perhaps a super saiyan 5.

A few things:
he was referring to the benefits of the earrings being an easier form of fusion. The fusees don't need to be exactly synchronised in movement and power level. Goku could've fused with Mr Satan if he wanted to. They're easier to use, as nobody has to learn the dance, and they don't have the 30 minute time limit. In that way, they're more powerful.
The fused result is not necessarily more powerful. There's nothing to say that Vegeto would be more powerful than Gogeta, at that point in time.

Finally, Elder Supreme Kai may have been baised. He was a lecherous old man (beside the point) essentially saying "hey, these mystical ancient heirlooms that are worn by every member of my vastly superior race are much better than some foofy dance you picked up in a bar somewhere."

But... Vegeto got turned into candy. And eaten. And Gogeta was only super Saiyan when he beat Janenba handily. Are power levels on cards listed anywhere or something? We're both just conjecturing here, but I just think if Vegeto was as powerful as Gogeta, Vegeto would have beaten Buu with relatively the same ease as Gogeta beat Janenba. And I realize that the movies aren't canon but still.

Vegito did not get eaten. In candy form, Vegito was still kicking Majin Buu's ass so Buu turned him back into a person, a target he could more easily see and fight. Then Vegito purposely allowed himself to be absorbed by Buu so he could free Gohan, Gotenks, and Piccolo, which he succeeded in, thus creating Kid Buu. Vegito was much stronger than Buu even with Gotenks and Gohan absorbed.

Not necessarily. Potara earrings are more permanent.
Gogeta's first appearance, he was Super Saiyan, and he very easily beat Janenba, a foe that, given Goku's super saiyan-ness and Vegeta's dead-ness, I put at about the same strength as Buu after having absorbed Gohan. Gogeta was above Janenba at that point at the same level that Vegeto was above Buu.
When Gogeta was SS4 (SS5?) it was the result of a fusion of two super saiyan 4s, who on their own, and even fighting as a team, could not overcome an absurdly powerful dragon who made very light work of Uub, who was the reincarnation of Kid Buu with ALL Kid Buus' power, plus years of training under Goku, PLUS he had absorbed Fat Buu, adding his power to his own and gaining his abilities.

Okay, I didn't read the title of this post when I clicked it.

I almost had an aneurysm reading this. I bought all the seasons and decided I'd try the English dub. I didn't even make it through the fucking intro. I mean, to each his own, and I can't lie, I really liked the voices for the Vegeta saga that they ran in the states, but for me, the Japanese voice actors and the music (but not the end title music... God, they always sucked until maybe the Majin Buu saga) were just infinitely superior.

It's probably because we are used to seeing the series in a specific language, I personally couldn't watch 5 minutes of Naruto in English so I understand where you are coming from. For DBZ I prefer English mainly because of Goku and his innocent voice (while he beats the shit out of his opponent), Vegeta for the aggressiveness and arrogance and Gohan for being so cute (not Teen gohan)

Oh Man, the first time I heard Goku in Japanese, I laughed out loud at how stupid his voice was. And I still really dig those voiced from the first season of DBZ that they brought over to North America. It's just that now, the Japanese voices are the only ones I want to hear. And English actors can't seem to do powering up without sounding absolutely constipated and dumb.

I hate grown-up Gohan. As a kid it was always: He is the strongest of all Z-Warriors, but he can't use that power all the time. (Just when he's angry/desperate) After the Cell fight, Gohan wasn't useful in any situation. And I don't even want to talk about the great Sayaman.

...ten million redditors...so if this karmawhoring repost takes up just one second of everyone's day, then you've effectively wasted over 115 days (yes, we were gonna waste em anyway, but they were ours to waste).

So perhaps you think a six-month penal sentence would be sufficient punishment, but you have to factor in the deterrent aspect of enforcement. In this case, the hivemind's incentive to deter repeated reposts is very high (we rage) so we leap from a six-month sentence to Capital Punishment or perhaps something as mild as forced sterilization in-- order to make an example of the offender.

If you knew about the other two postings of this image in r/pics over the last 24 hours then you're kind of an asshole. Even if you didn't, you still fail at reddit bc this pic has been on the frontpage since yesterday afternoon. Even a casual browse would've seen it.

For shame FatGrover, for shame! We'd probably all be better off if you just didn't try anymore.
