Surprised that Hank Azaria is not on this list.

That's the first one I thought of that was missing too. His list includes:
* Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
* Moe Szyslak
* Chief Clancy Wiggum
* Comic Book Guy
* Carl
* Dr. Nick Riviera
* Captain McCallister
* Superintendent Chalmers
* Professor Frink
* Cletus
* Bumblebee Man
* Snake
etc.

You spelled "Super Nintendo" wrong

Absolutely an oversight. Likewise Harry Shearer...

If Seth McFarlane gets on that list (not to mantion Parker and Stone) then Shearer damn well should be there, too...

Yeah, how do trey and matt make the cut when Hank doesn't?

i thought the same thing. its incomplete but it's cool to see just some of the voices.

That list is woefully incomplete. Here's two extra gems that jump to my mind:

The Many Voices of Tara Strong (and she has even more that the video doesn't show)

Tabitha St. Germain's Demo Video (Click on any of the demos, couldn't link directly to the video one, sorry)

And that's only some of the american voice actors, let's not even get into the seiyuu business or we'll be here all day

Just piggybacking on your comment to add two more:
Steve Blum
Rob Paulson

Edit: might as well add Maurice LaMarche to the list as well.

[–]retho2 11 points12 points ago

I would also add Mark Hamill

[–]Kevbot5000 4 points5 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Yeah Hamill was THE Joker for me. We're also missing Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen (not Meatloaf from Fight Club). They are responsible for most of the characters from everybody's childhood

[–]nilstycho 1 point2 points ago

Funny you mention that. Mark Hamill just won a BAFTA a few days ago for his performance of the Joker in Batman: Arkham City.

YSK? Really? I guess it could be argued that I 'should' know this this... I feel like this is more appropriate in TIL because I view YSK as a place for more important information.

Yes, while neat, this isn't need to know info.

June Foray has been doing the voice of Granny for nearly 60 years!

I had no idea she was still alive - she'll be 95 this year! She also did the voice of the witch in various Looney Tunes Halloween episodes with Buggs.

Here's a good tribute to her, including the witch.

[–]thetoastmonster 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

I watched the new Looney Tunes series recently, and the witch now sounds like a stereotypical "oh no you di'int" black woman.

I'm pretty sure bubbles was voiced by Tara Strong. Also, this list needs tara strong

Thank you, I'm surprised I didn't see 17 different posts, one for each of these people, all titled "mind blown" when you find out voice actors do different voices, as if its some sort of massive coincidence these people do this.

I hope Trey and Matt live forever.

Tom Kenny also does the voice of the Ice King in Adventure Time!

Frank Welker, you may know him as Nibbler from Futurama or the narrator from Animaniacs. Or maybe you'd know him from the 673 other movies/TV shows he's been in, often doing sounds of animals as well as characters.

A 60-year-old guy is doing the voice of Fry? Nice.

His name is Robert Paulsen!

This should be a TIL. That and Cubert Farnsworth is Tress MacNeille, Bubbles is Tara Strong (who doesn't have an entry, nor does Grey DeLisle, James Arnold Taylor, Mark Hamill, etc.), and Tom Kenny is Arnold's Grandpa.

[–]GamblerShinobi 1 point2 points ago

Did anyone mention Phil Lamarr?

When I saw Nancy Cartwright, I instantly thought of the Seinfeld episode "The Chinese Restaurant", where George's last name is mispronounced "Cartwright" instead of "Costanza." I watch too much Seinfeld.

Nice list though.

My first thought is of her appearance in the Twilight Zone film...

...and her being a Scientologist.

Hal Smith. Who played Otis Campbell the town drunk on the Andy Griffith show.

[–]krusher67 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

From the same link for Hal Smith: Starting in 1987 he was the voice of the main character John Avery Whittaker on the Focus on the Family radio drama Adventures in Odyssey. He was responsible for much of the cast joining the show after he signed on, and he continued recording episodes until a few weeks before his death, even while his health deteriorated. Additionally, he voiced dozens of other characters during the over 260 episodes he participated in.

Many christians will appreciate the great work he did as "whit" on AIO. Guess you don't have to have ANY spiritual connection at all. It is a fantastic radio program for kids and adults to listen to, good biblical based lessons and with the whole series it's like you have a group of radio friends/family to tune into. Best gift, cd's of the series!

Let's not forget Jim Cummings. The man has done so, so many things. Most of which everyone has heard of. A lot of which are replacements for the great people on this list.

YSK that you reposted something that is poster almost every week. Stop ruining this reddit.

It's poster huh? Yeah ill stop ruining reddit.

[–]godfather275 -1 points0 points ago

The fact that you rebuttal with something so pointless further proves my point. You're obviously the type who sees value in collecting imaginary points by reposting something that I KNOW you've seen posted numerous times. Please stop.

I do like the points, they're fun. And no i have not seen it before. I've been on reddit for about three weeks. So, chill out asshole.
