my theory is that it's a hipster mentality. "I saw it before you saw it." However, there are some people who blatantly repost just for some easy karma.

In any case, if the post does well, it means people gleaned some enjoyment out of it. So I'm with ya ... not so sure what's so egregious about a repost doing well. All I hear is, "WHY ARE PEOPLE ENJOYING THIS?? I ALREADY ENJOYED THIS IN THE PAST, SO NOBODY ELSE SHOULD ENJOY IT ANYMORE!!"

I hate birds. On a superficial level, their beaks and feet creep me out. On a crazy level, one flew at my face when I was younger and its wings brushed my face and ever since, I've had a semi-phobia.

I'm scared shitless of birds. Will not touch them, or go near them. I don't know what it is about them, but there's just this thing about small birds that makes me want to run away. Spiders? Don't care. I even had a boa for the longest time that I used to cuddle with, and I would do anything with, but I will not go near small birds.

I think birds are beautiful from a distance or a picture, but they absolutely terrify me otherwise. I am trying to get over this phobia, but I still almost end up hysterical every time a bird is put on my shoulder :/ They're so pretty but so scary!

I love birds. I hate people owning them in such a way that restricts them from flying. Like, Falconry is ok I guess. A bird in a cage (or house) is such a cruelly ironic thing to me.

I don't like birds for the so simple fact that I don't think they like us, or at least they shouldn't. It seems to me the cruelest abuse to cage an animal that can fly just for our amusement. The bird revolution is coming. Oh, and I was attacked by a macaw.

Macaws are convinced that they're dinosaurs. Also on your previous point... often times birds bred in captivity cannot be released into the wild due to color mutations in feathers. Parakeets even have a different build than their wild counterparts.
