I cannot think of a law banning contraception having any motivation other than religious. This issue is political in nature, but make no mistake: its genesis is found in God.

Also, even John McCain thinks it's bullshit, and he's pretty much my litmus test to whether something is just Normal-Republican crazy or Finest-Political-Minds-Of-The-14th-Century crazy.
