It's impossible for an object to not have a hue, it is just a question of how saturated it is.

In the case of water, it is extremely desaturated and therefore invisible to the naked eye.

If the sky was white, then the ocean would still look blue. If it was purple, the water would most certainly be purple since is has a reflectivity that defeats its own color saturation.

So please, if you think somebody is wrong about the science of color, but you no nothing on the subject, then don't pretend you do based on what was taught to you when you were four years old.

One time I was at a strip club in Tampa(Mons Venus) and I was trying to walk into another room where there were more strippers. As I'm getting closer I see this guy walking out of the room so I move to the right side and keep walking towards the room. When I moved to the right, so did he. When I moved to the left, he did the same. We had that little awkward moment when people keep trying to go the same way to get past eachother and then I got close enough to realize it was a mirror.
