Alright let me tell you guys a story. My computer science teacher used to work at pandemic studios before they were bought out by EA. In 2004 John Riccitiello, the President and Chief Operating Officer of EA, suddenly resigned from his post. He then co-founded Elevation Partners. In addition to his responsibilities as a Managing Director at Elevation, he also served as the Chairman and CEO of VG Holdings (consisting of BioWare and Pandemic Studios, both developers in the video game business). In 2007 Riccitello negotiated the buyout of VG Holdings. A few months later, Riccitello gets reappointed as the CEO of EA. On November 17, 2009, EA officially confirmed Pandemic Studios' closure, laying off 228 employees and putting all the money into his and his friends pockets. That is the bullshit that happens at EA.

To be honest, these games were rather bad in hindsight. The animations, AI, and graphics were subpar, even for their time, and the gameplay got repetitive. The space combat in Battlefront 2 was innovative and fun, but I think the only reason we played these games was because they were based in the Star Wars universe and because there was a wide variety of weapons, maps, and vehicles.

And yet I still would be excited for another...
