Riff is a six-year-old orange Hadrosaur who is B.J. and Baby Bop's cousin. One of his big interests is music and he is known for being able to imitate sounds really well. When he is excited, his stripes on his crest light up and blink quickly. He loves marching band and parade music as much as Barney does. Of course, since Barney immediately becomes completely unacceptable to watch upon one's first day of Kindergarten, you can probably determine my exact age based on this.
(Also, fun fact about my most humiliating event of Kindergarten: So there was this girl who rode my school bus and was also in my Kindergarten class who I thought was my "girlfriend." His name is Flip. Maybe it's a her, they never really disclose during the show. The character was introduced in the late early/mid 2000's. The producer of show the felt they needed a character that the more "special kids" could feel apart of the show. This was the last ditch effort the big wigs would try to save the show. So far, the ratings of the show have increased enough to keep it aired. They should pull through for more seasons. The real news is who plays the character "Flip", none other than the infamous graffiti artist, Banksy.

For me it's March of the Fire Ants and Mother Puncher, I got into them around Leviathan/Blood Mountain and listening to Remission changed how I viewed them as a band. They're evolving from that extremely visceral origin into a more honed sound while still maintaining a lot of that coarseness that drew me to them in the first place. Amazing stuff.

they were performing in the same arena or venue after a barney and friends show. I cant remember whether barney asked or mastodon asked, but one of them did ask to meet the other. I do know that the barney and friends crew got to see the show for free also.

It's a really awesome story actually. Mastodon's soundcheck was scaring the kids at the Barney show next door, and then later during "The Creature Lives" the cast of Barney the Dinosaur came out on stage for Mastodon. They bonded over how life on the road is pretty much exactly the same for both of them.
