How I feel watching theists and atheists argue on Facebook (i.imgur.com)

Me too. That's why I love it when they repost it here (though I think I am in the minority).

I'm from Canada so I rarely get to argue on Facebook so when it's posted here it's a real treat!!
[–]Crazybay46913 2 points3 points4 points 6 months ago
The US may catch up to how awesome Canada is eventually.

The way we've been going lately, I think we'll be catching up to you guys pretty soon :(

Upvote for unfortunate truth about our nation =(

If anything Canada is becoming more unified. This is just anti-Harper sentiment and while I dislike him, unfortunately we're stuck with him for a little while longer. So get out there and vote when our chance to rid Canada of him comes. Compared to american conservatives harper is a liberal, it could be much, much worse.

Same in Ireland. Have never actually seen a religious post yet. I suppose it is all a matter of geography.

That's how I feel when arguing on facebook. I have a term for it: happymad - happy to be mad. Pointless, endlessly escalating arguments give me an undescribably pleasurable thrill. I wait for opportunities to move the argument to a different, more personal level. I insult, I offend, I use all the things that shouldn't be used in a civil discussion. I revel in my superiority. And it's fun.

Its weird you your brain just adds in the clapping sound.
[–]felipec 1 point2 points3 points 6 months ago
You make it sound like you are an outsider not belonging to any of these groups... but there's nothing else. Either you believe on a deity, or you don't...

oh, I'm a pretty staunch atheist, it's just fun to watch arguments evolve on Facebook. Sometimes I even join in haha!!

I feel the same when two people go back and forth so much it runs of the page and you have to click the link to follow it. It's my goal to one day get someone to do that with me.

This gif reminds me quite a bit of this terrifying little guy...

Thought this was hilarious, but honestly, Facebook is a means of communication. It's no different than a theist and atheist arguing in real life. And I enjoy a lot of the facebook posts I see. What's your problem with it?
[–]gtrunkz[S] 1 point2 points3 points 6 months ago
I don't have a problem with it at all, it's just so entertaining most of the time

What, no MJ eating popcorn?
I am not so sure. I mean I am always left wanting more. Like a conversion or something. Sometimes I think the arguments against religion are so great that they are kinda pointless because these people must know some of them already and still feel the need to believe in something.
When a religious person is being a plank though then I likes it.

It's disappointing to me, seeing such arguments. To me, it's tantamount to people arguing over whether or not the tortoise actually beat the hare.
