In most States, you are only allowed one moose per permit year, and even then, its a lottery. Might be a guide or someone who helped, as you said, though!

You can only shoot one (Legally with a license) They tell you which sex and age. When I go in my uncles and friends go with us. This guy could have some friends in with him so they could all get their moose.

Edit: My dad got a calf this year and we have gave away moose Burgers, sausages and roasts and we still have plenty.

A calf? Thats a 1 year old or less moose. 300lbs at most. After dressing, maybe 125lbs of meat. Waste of a permit unless you were really hardup on food any didnt see any other animals.

Actually I lied dad had calf last year, he had a bull this year, my bad. (he has a picture on his computer if ya need proof, but I assume you're no prude. Anyways the calf still was plenty, and you don't get to pick and choose, you have to get what they give you. They do it like that for all the different areas.

If you use the same clothes to hunt ducks or turkeys you can't have any day-glo on them. Birds see color extremely well. They do make day-glo outfits with a camouflage pattern, but not everybody can afford multiple jackets and pants.

The funny part is that the camo is rather pointless. He might as well be dressed in orange camo. Deer can only see black and white so they don't really care about the color, just the contrast.

Why do you oppose hunting, especially to the point of wishing the hunter was murdered?

I don't know a single hunter (and I know plenty, being from Tennessee) that doesn't eat what he kills (or at least give the meat to friends/family for them to eat), and I can't find a single thing wrong with that.

Hunters are not "the meat industry," they are hunters, and they are people, like you and me.

If anything, they are undermining the meat industry by getting meat themselves.

But I think the crux if the argument is that you value an animals life as highly (if not higher) than a human being's, and that is something that I do no agree with, for the most part.

However, I detest those that hunt purely for sport, i.e., dove hunting when the doves are released on command just to be slaughtered for your enjoyment. Most bird hunting seems to fall into this category. It's next to impossible to eat them because of all the buckshot, so there really is no purpose other than simply being able to kill something and not be considered a psycho by most people.

Or, other than insects, vermin that eat the crops are trapped and killed for him to eat his vegetables. However, I've heard the argument that vegetarianism isn't perfect and you can't help from killing at least some animals throughout your life, but its cutting down on the amount you kill, and I can respect that (as a hunter).

EDIT: However, vegetarianism to the point of wishing hunters (or even meat eaters) are dead, I don't respect lol

Do you really think that hunters don't care? Most people that I know that hunt spend more time outdoors, as well as making sure that areas they hunt are habitable than vegetarians that I know, who stay inside and complain about how killing animals is murder... Its cool though, I'm just glad I don't have to be around you :)

exactly. and actually i'm outside a lot. ultimate frisbee, picking up litter, biking to the store. but it's cool. meat eaters usually die sooner.
