When things go viral because they were posted on reddit you will see the community praise said meme. When things are posted on reddit because they went viral you will see the community make fun of it in memes.

I wish I could time travel back to when the word 'viral' was only typically used in relation to some sort of medical discussion.

Especially tired of hearing 'news reporters' use the term to describe anything popular.
