You stated the weight in response to a comment about it being "heavy as hell".

In this context, it is implied the thing weighing 30 pounds is overly heavy.

I used "you" broadly, to mean people in general and not you personally. I replied to you, instead of the first comment, because you specified the weight.

I could take the "you" universally if it wasn't followed up with a pretty personalized insult. The person said it looked heavy as hell. I was simply giving them the weight. So... if the you was directed at me, I never said I thought that 30 pounds was heavy. If it was directed at the original poster, they had no idea if it weighed 5 pounds or 500, so should not be ridiculed for thinking 30 pounds is heavy. I'm not sure who else it could be directed at, and neither of us were valid targets.

Without the little dig at the end this would have probably been a non-issue, but with it the comment just kind of came off as someone looking to insult somebody. But I admire you for not editing or deleting the post in retrospect.

Any grown man should be able to lift 30 pounds.

You The general population is required to lift at least twice that in any labour position. Changing the tire on a car requires a person to lift ~30 pounds. A bag full of text-books weighs more than that.

There's no way I could have insulted either of you personally, as I do not know either of you personally. Unless the age or state of physical condition was a coincidentally good guess, no statement was directed at any one person.

It flexes just a little bit, so provides some cushioning. Not for routing living room use, but great for, e.g., waiting areas, lobby.

I sat on a similar one at MoMA, NYC (no, it was not part of the exhibit), and found it quite comfortable. Didn't seem very durable though; showed ass indentations.

I'd consider something like a futon equivalent to this, not a 'real' couch.

I could get 2-3 decent futons for the same price. It's definitely a very cool piece, but more bench like than anything you'd want to relax on.
