This is about the 27th time I've seen this pic in this subreddit.

That's a slight exaggeration. But only slight.

Only very slight. I haven't been a redditor very long, but I have seen it at least 4 times.

You certainly live up to your name...

You can't prove Pat Robertson's charitable donations don't exist!

[–]matthewjfazio 2 points3 points ago

I'd like to see some research on Robertson NOT giving to charities, and citations on his African diamond mind holdings. I bet he's given to "Christian" based charities, but not anything that may be considered secular.

We can't play the same game as the religious by just spouting out stuff without quoting our sources... Or at least, sources OUTSIDE of the bible.

even if Pat Robertson is a dick, doesn't give money to charity, and tortures people in his spare time, it doesn't mean anything. There are atheists who are dicks too. There are certainly a whole bunch of wealthy Christians who give a lot of their money to charity. Even charities without religious affiliations. The fact there there is one christian who doesn't, and two atheists who do, does not prove anything about Christians or atheists as a whole.

So, let me get this straight: there are two really rich people who are atheists, who have donated a lot of their money to charity. There is one really rich evangelical christian who has not donated any of his money. From this we can conclude that atheists are good and evangelicals are cruel, heartless people.

I don't know if you've been coming to /r/atheism for long, but you should see the rise you'd get if you claimed that since you met an asshole atheist, all atheists are assholes. This is the same logic, only working in reverse. It isn't sound. It isn't even valid. It proves nothing.

Well played sir. Can't argue with sound logic.

[–]reposter_[S] 0 points1 point ago

Actually, he made the conclusion. The link simply makes 3 statements about 3 people.

[–]Dcburnout 0 points1 point ago

The implications were clear.

Why doesn't that site exist?

[–]Waking_Phoenix 0 points1 point ago

But, see, you're not supposed to do that. You're supposed to give everything you have right this moment and then sit on welfare.

Oh, what is it this time? Is it the fact that Windows has bluescreened on you in the past? You know, on your 8 year old Pentium 3 running Windows 98 after you downloaded HOT.SEXY.NAKED.GIRLS.ANAL.RAPE.avi.exe? That the product his company created, that you've probably used your entire life, is not perfect?

Bill Gates was a remarkable businessman. His tactics were brutal at times, yes, but that was all in the world of business. Sure, he was less than kind in terms of business at times.

But the 2nd-richest man in the world donating a huge amount of money to charity and pushing for the health of people worldwide?

Not to mention the fact that he created Windows, which just gets so much flak because it's cool to hate on Windows and it's cool to hate on Bill Gates. I fucking hate that shit.

The FOundation gives only 5 to 10% of their profits to healtcare of the poors or so. The rest? To big companies that harms those poor people. Read this, and think if you can.

Even on Wikipedia you can find criticism over that bullshit foundation.

Futhermore, how do you think ms became that big corporation with something like 95% market share all over the world? Yes, you're right, Bill is an angel.

You windows fanboys depress me.
