A couple things to address here.

First: my sentence said "purposefully incite." There's a difference between making a joke about people liking a certain type of food, and making a joke about people being genetically inferior or something and then imploring your audience to go out and do violence on that people based on such a claim. I can't help it if some hermit out in the boonies reads the joke and is inspired to blow up a school because it incited his hatred. To safeguard against such attenuated effects of speech would require a complete curtailment of the inalienable right to freedom of speech.

Second: you need to go read the Reddiquette. After briefly reading through your comment history, I can tell you are disliked by most members of the reddit community that have come into contact with you. It's because you have a tendency to resort to petty insults when your powers of logic and coherent rhetoric fail you. I think you could develop yourself into a more valuable member of the reddit community by taking some time to read the Reddiquette. It will teach you to maintain a minimum level of decorum when talking with other redditors. It'll also teach you not to downvote people (as you obviously have done to me) based on their simply having a different viewpoint than yours. Downvotes are reserved for when someone's comment is nothing more than an ad hominem attack or otherwise totally fails to add to the conversation in any way. edit: I didn't downvote your first comment (although I might have been justified in doing so), but I did downvote your second comment, because you didn't support your assertion that the joke "does incite hatred." All you did was make the assertion then follow it up with a rude insult. That is the type of comment that deserves a downvote.
