And everyone IN the friend zone fails to realize that the friend zone is one of the most strategic positions to be in.

You hang out with guys all the time you make ONE female friend and it's all "oh woe is me, we can't date." NO. Hang out with her and her friends. Be their friend and quit thinking with your dick for a minute. You don't date them. You don't date any of their friends. There must be at least 2 degrees of separation from someone you do date/mess around with.

Suddenly you're going out to the bars with 8 girls. You cockblock creeps on the dance floor and volunteer to be DD occasionally. And any girls they know from class it's "Oh hey, Have you met my friend Darkscout". If the bar is full the girls will go find a seat at a table with other girls. The girls see 8 girls and a guy and "eh, sure you can share our table". Now you're in conversation with girls that you just met. Trojan horse if you will.

Or jesus, maybe they're actually cool people to hang out with.

Complaining about being in the friend zone is like complaining that you wasted your time taking the high ground before a battle.

While I admire this idea, it never worked for me in reality. I used to hang with my cousin and she had the hottest friends. I'd walk into a bar with 8 beautiful women but not once did I ever see them or any other girl associated with them naked. Not once did it bring in a new girl for me to date or anything like that. If anything, it kept girls away cause they just assume I'm with one of them. Going out with 1 or 2 girls was OK but a large group of girls was never good.

I've always had better luck with my guy friends, going out having fun with them and meeting girls the traditional way.

That being said, I allowed myself to be friendzoned when I was high school aged and I learned from it. I won't ever let it happen again. It isn't the girls fault when a guy is friendzoned. It is the guy's fault for letting it happen. I will never blame a girl for friendzoning a guy, I will always see the guy as weak or inexperienced.

I'm an old fart of 43, and I can attest to this. The best way to meet girls is through other girls. Yes, it is sad that your friend isn't in to you, but dems the breaks. If that girl genuinely likes you, then she will be perfectly happy to set you up with her friends, or at least run interference for you and find out which one of her friends might actually date you. They are an incredible resource.

Of course, there are always those girls who "Just don't have any female friends". This is a serious red flag. not necessarily a deal-breaker, but my experience has been that you don't invest too much in those girls. They are quite possibly a bit more narcissistic than you realize.

Of course, there are always those girls who "Just don't have any female friends"

For me, this can break either way. You either get the tom boys that just like doing cool stuff. Which is awesome and rare. Or you do get the girls that are so high maintenance that other girls don't even like them.

I can 100% agree to what you just said. I had a similar experience in high school where I was completely head over hells for this one girl and did just about anything to get her. We talked/hung out so much that we ended up being best friends, even though many of our friends would constantly nag about how we weren't together. It killed me because secretly I still had a thing for her throughout high school and even went to prom with her junior year. Nothing ever happened and I was a bit heart broken.

Since then I've been in college and we have both gone our different ways. I proudly have a girlfriend for over a year and a half and I don't think about the whole 'friend-zone' fiasco. We still talk all the time and hang out whenever we are both at home. Looking back I'm glad I didn't give upon our friendship, we've had and still have great memories and I've met a numerous amount of friends through her. One time when we were both at home we went to a house party and she got quite drunk and came out to me that she wanted to be with me (still with my current gf) and that she made a huge mistake by not dating me in high school, I could've taken advantage but didn't, I love our friendship, even if it wasn't what i wanted at first. I've learned that it's okay being just friends, sometimes it can offer a lot more than a relationship.

Had someone ask my about how to get out of the friendzone. Told him it usually won't end good. You either have to tell them what's up, or move on. Chances are if you haven't already clicked into something more than friends, they just aren't interested in you. After you tell em you want more, they are either going to stop being as friendly, or decide they want to be more friendly. But that rarely happens. Usually it just fucks up the being friends part. But then you can move on.
