What's up with the dog's ears?

They've been cropped and taped up to heal so that they'll be pointing upwards.

Therefore, dude deserves the bite to the nads.

I fucking can't stand people who do shit like that to their pets. It's cosmetic surgery forced on animals who neither want it, or can comprehend it.

Yep. :/ Even as someone who has a dog with a docked tail (boxer) I'm glad the practice is becoming less and less common. I would have prefered my baby girl to not be docked :C

i have a boxer and he doesn't have a docked tail (got him as a pup from the SPCA). I'm happy that his tail wasn't circumsized and I don't agree with the practice, but I do 'understand' why they started doing it.

The damn thing is a whip, clears all the cups/cans off the coffee table and I'm frequently worried about him breaking it when he whacks it on things --- it's very powerful.

The reason why IS because they may break or desheath their tail... when working. We always joke that Kali would do the same thing if she had her tail, haha! But for non-working dogs it's un nessicary c:

Yeah, and the first time you see a dog whip its own tail bloody and then die of the resulting infection, you might change your opinion. Some breeds just don't seem to have much kinesthetic sense in their tails and whack them on everything. It's dangerous for the dog, and docking is not just a "convenience".

That's kind of like saying "sometimes kids stick their fingers in wall sockets. we should probably cut off their hands".

No, but letting them get a tickle of 110v will go far in teaching them to not fuck with it again.

That's what he gets for clipping his ears.
