I like it!

Though, I think of it like the way we irradicated smallpox. We tried to treat the sick, but in the end it wasn't for the sake of the sick - they often died anyways. It was instead for the healthy around them, who were all immunized to the disease.

There's a little more to that quote.

To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead or trying to convert an atheist with Scripture.

But, I definitely understand leaving that part out. It wouldn't really be very helpful, would it?
