Hes real, somewhat of a growing tourist attraction in Italy. If you go to Firenze (Florence) you have to take the C1 Bus Route (ATAF buses), get off at Via Dei Pucci nearest the Piazza del Duomo, and take the first right after the bus stop.

Hes actually the property of the owners of 'Gelateria'. It cost 4€ to see him, another 3€ for pictures. He lives off of fish caught out of the Arno by the locals.
