The trouble is you're not actually arguing, because creationists only become creationists through the abandonment of reason. A proper argument involves a certain open-mindedness on both sides - otherwise it's just contradiction (to paraphrase Monty Python).

My advice for the next time it looks like you're getting into an argument with a creationist, ask them "Is there anything that would ever change your mind? Are you open to being persuaded of a different view?" If the answer is no, don't bother wasting your time.

When arguing with a creationist, you often present facts that seriously challenge their worldview. In the end, only one will win out.

Fear and blissful ignorance, or knowledge and good sense.
