I interned at an animal hospital for a short while in college, and I can tell that this image is obviously staged. The dog's eyes are closed with a relative amount of ease that is unnatural in any breed of dog. ALSO, the dog's legs are jutting inward at an angle greater than 73.82 degrees, which is an UNNATURAL position for any dog to rest its legs.

CLEARLY, you anesthetized this dog, laid it down in the sand, and covered its torso with sand. Nice try, dog burying guy, but I won't be so easily fooled
