I have a story that kind of corresponds with this.

Years back, when I would go visit some of my family in Mexico, we use to go watch some soccer games at the field that they have there. It was my dad, his uncle, my younger siblings, a few cousins and I. It wasn't a big place, no stadium, so the seating were bleachers at field level. They had a cover over the seats to avoid the sun and a fence to help prevent any stray balls from hitting anyone. The thing is there was a gap between the fence and the fence. The gap was about 2 feet. So we're watching the game and talking and having a good time. I turn back to see whats going on in the game and all I see is the ball clearing the gap and coming straight for us! I didn't have any time to react. The ball ended up hitting my dad's uncle, who was sitting right next to me drinking a 2 Liter bottle of coke, right in the hand. I was showered in soda. It took everyone a few seconds to realize what had happened. everyone then laughed and play continued.

TL;DR Went to a soccer game, stray ball came and showered me in soda.
