can we please stop with the facebook posts by 15yo girls who still have yet to develop critical thinking skills? Why must we resort to highlighting the ignorance of children to make ourselves feel superior?

Further more, it is well defined (by studies) that generally speaking people who are zealously religious are generally less intelligent then people who are not - yet we (the ones who are suppose to be above this) constantly take pictures of people saying stupid shit and then posting on here and being like "oh - look at stupid this person is! lol facepalm" - it is old, unproductive and makes us look childish and silly.

From my experience when I was in school:

In communities that are dominated by Christian conservatives public schools teach evolution (as required), but they do it in such a way to make it sound like a laughable joke. They grossly exaggerate and warp the Theory of Evolution to make it appear humorously implausible, and even racist.

I even had a science teacher explain to the class that evolution theory proved that black humans evolved from monkeys and that's why they are dark colored. Essentially she ignored human evolution for anyone who wasn't black with the implication being that blacks evolved but whites didn't.

The education system in these areas are designed to let you down, designed to be used for propaganda. They are designed to re-enforce the views of the community. And this was in the '90s.
