Can we be sure this isn't a training or publicity video? The guy's jacket looks like one of those padded ones that they use to train attack dogs. Also the fact that he quickly points his gun away from the dog seems unrealistic to me.

It's from a French SWAT team training video. The dog(s) are Malinois (Belgian shepherds). And yes, the men portraying the criminals are wearing full bite suits.

Makes me want to play command and conquer, but I'm just a Chronotrooper waxing nostalgically.

No, that's a dog.

If he'd ducked, the dog would have flown right over him.

Anyone got the video? I didn't know dogs could jump over cars like that.

I've always wondered what stops criminals from just using their other arm to shoot the dog. Anyone?

Being hit to the ground and having their arm ripped off by a dog? It could be done, but you'd have to be seriously tough with excellent gun and nerve control.

Oh ok. I was asking a serious question - it just seems like the arm with the gun just flails around, and I was wondering why they never shoot.

Thanks. :)

Like someone else said, possibly training, but your priorities change when a large animal hits you like that. Marksmanship turns to OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT

I think in the situation, they get so freaked out about the dog tearing into them that they forget they have a gun.

Kind of like when someone pisses you off in traffic so bad you can't find the horn.

(Edit: downvote? dude? I just upvoted you back to positive after I thought you received an unfair downvote! Taking that shit back right now.)

Do you think I downvoted you? I just woke up! Haha. I think your response is valid.
