When I was younger, about 2nd grade or so, I strongly believed that dinosaurs had become extinct because the herbivores had eaten all the plants and starved to death, so then the carnivores starved because all the herbivores were dead.

Nonononono, you see the dinosaurs knew the comet was coming to kill them. So they all started digging holes to protect themselves. But due to a lack of foresight, the dinosaurs had no way to get back out of the holes and that's why they are buried today.
