Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports). "Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

"Generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission.

Posting Rules

  • Following Reddiquette is encouraged

  • Spoilers can be posted using the following formatting:
    [X Kills Y](/spoiler)
    Result: X Kills Y.

  • To mark a spoiler as relevant to a specific game/topic, use the alternate formatting:
    [Player 1 wins](/spoiler "Pong")
    Result:
    Player 1 wins

  • Report posts containing spoilers not using the above method

  • Don't post users' personal information.

A map still played in high schools everywhere.

There was no greater thrill in highschool (circa 2005 or so) than having a computer lab session for a class with a technology inept teacher (religious studies or PE or something). Every single damn person in that class would be in a custom match in bloodgulch over supplied with vehicles and rocket launchers.

Oh man I use to think only my High School did this, we also played Cod 4 since each computer in my engineering class was equipped with a gtx 460, many good times where had.

This took me right back to late nights, mountains of chips and salsa, and days when work wasn't a necessity.

The xbox version didn't include online multiplayer (without any workarounds at least) and I believe the PC version with multiplayer wasn't released until after 2001 so you might want to have your dates checked.

Despite all the bugs, Halo PC was still fun to play.

And it was buggy as Hell...

The year 2000 had Giants: Citizen Kabuto, thus proving your title wrong.
