Black bears normally shy away from humans, but they can be very curious at times. However in the picture, the bear is definately sizing you up as a potential meal. Those little bear brain gears are turning, determining the possibility of prying you away from Dad.

My mom actually did something similar with my bro when he was a baby. They were in Florida and she told my dad to take a pic of her holding baby bro near some gators. My dad flipped and my mom didn't really think it was a big deal.

This reminds me of one of the badass stories about my grandpa. When I was about 6, my family and I were camping in northern Manitoba when a bear walked onto our site. My family rushed to hide in the station wagon. Everything was fine until the bear approached my grandfathers cooler... "My Steaks!" he screamed, (he takes BBQ very seriously, butchers and ages his own meat) My grandfather burst out of the car and drove the bear away.
